Religious guys have no moral stand to compoainabout any sort of killing of animals given Gods get propitiated by butchery of animals in more or less every religion. Some more some less.. Yes barrign Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism other Gods love animal sacrifice..Even in Hindu temples of certain denomication animal sacrifice is done..
Less said about virtues of animal sacrifice in islam better.. Judaism and Chrstinaity is also no better..

I did not know we had animal sacrifice in Christianity...
Anyway it is not about religion..It is about the ethical part of it. Isnt there some other alternative.. Like mentioned in the link, what happens in another 15 years. Another Mass slaughter ?? This problem needs a permt solution rather than a temporary one.

Turkeys are not killed as sacrifice. Please understand the difference.
It is as telling all the chicken that is getting killed in hotels everyday that they are being sacrificed to gods 
Don’t buy that turkey killing has taken religious coonotation you got to have turkey on christmas.. Even places where turkey is not favourite food on days fo Chritsmas turkey sell goes up…
