Authoritative tone

Recently I have been noticing that my tone has changed to a little more Authoritative rather than a request or humble kind of tone.I realize it right after I have talked in that way:bummer:
What could be the reasons for that?Is it the job? And how do I stop this from developing further.

Re: Authoritative tone

That biological change means you are ready for marriage.

Re: Authoritative tone

choti princess..its not a probelm..its beneficial actually bcs females cant n shouldnt b soft all the time otherwise the jack wolf man will eat us up!

You can’t have the same tone for every situation. Having a meek and humble tone of voice all the time can give the impression that you easy to push around. An authoritative tone exudes more confidence, shows you mean business. As long as you have an understanding of what tone (calm, firm, sympathetic, etc) is appropriate for the situation…and also manage to be respectful while being firm.

I think your job could be a possible reason. In my case it is. I’m generally soft-spoken, but since I started teaching (and giving orders throughout the day)…the authoritativeness will sometimes reflect in my voice even outside of school. Again, it’s not something that you should get rid of completely. Life will demand you to have an authoritative attitude from time to time and you need a voice to match it.

:hoonh:

lkk :smilestar: retirement hogi aapki

nah the professional part isnt a prob with me..i  it

but I dont know any wolf type men who will eat me:bummer:

ok on a serious note…soni the authoritative tone isnt good at home with siblings and all :frowning:

I use a wrong tone nowadays:hinna:
Teaching didnt effect me in the beginning and now this is my 6th month.Maybe its effecting now.
There are times when I don’t mean to be authoritative but the tone comes out that way:bummer: and once its out there’s no taking it back:(

Re: Authoritative tone

^LOL! So, you’re a teacher too then. First year? We give orders throughout the day, and expect students to follow directions the first time around. It’s a draining job. Buy the end of the day you’re so exhausted, that when you go home, you expect everyone else (that is not your student) to listen, follow directions, get with it, make your life easier. And when they don’t…that authoritative tone can kick in…as though it never checked out when you signed out from work at the end of the day. I can see the good in it the though, the job can make you a bit more assertive. At least you KNOW that you’re overdoing it…so that means that you have the ability to tone it down when necessary. Some people don’t realize that at all.

Re: Authoritative tone

I don't find anything wrong with this...an authoritative tone helps you be assertive when you know you are right and gives a stronger image....

but using it "all" the time can be annoying for people around...just avoid using it in all situations..werna in itself its not a bad habit ;)

Re: Authoritative tone
