Re: Australia

hey sweets.. my company is a KIWI one and unfortunately weve inherited the Aussies :bummer::wink:

Re: Australia

Thanks Laffy :k:

Re: Australia

I love Australia!!! I visted it about a year ago!! You guys are soooo friendly and makes any visitor feel welcomed! And for some reason I found that Australians favored Canadians over Americans :P

I'm for sure going to be visiting in the near future Inshallah!

Re: Australia

Lafanter> it should also be noted, that Aus is in somewhat of an economic rut, and it's not easy to find work. The standard of living is high, things cost a lot and generally accomodation is very expensive. If you want to come, make sure you come legally, cos if you're illegal it's hard to find work, no one will hire you. Otherwise, the lifestyle is gr8, mate!

Re: Australia

^ not true… the job market is getting better here and companies are willing to pay you a crazy amount to work.. seriously. The rut we were in a year ago has i think surpassed… it’s getting better.

and i second u on the lifestyle.. I LOVE IT HERE! but then again… im prob more aussie than pakistani to begin with.. LOL

other good sites to visit.. for tourism sake:

www.stayz.com.au

Re: Australia

Well I'm born here and lived here my whole life. What i meant was that maybe for an immigrant it may be difficult to get a good paying job ( one that can sustain a comfy lifestyle), if your english is good, and you have qualifications please come!! Doctors, nurses, tradesmen are in huge demand ( in the NT, don't know bout the rest of Aus)

Re: Australia

well i wasnt born here, but ive been here for the past 23 years... and seriously, companies are willing to pay an absurd amount to get skilled people

just a few months ago, a colleague of the hubz had to take leave for 5 weeks.. the company than hired a guy from india, paid his fares and his accommodation here for 5 weeks. thats how desperate companies are

anways, i think it also depends on which field you're in.. and how specialised it is

Re: Australia

i think until recently, there immigration policies were entirely recist...i'm going to New Zealand for one year on my job assignment and i hope they are better :)

Re: Australia

try the tri-city area
thats closer - and they are hiring too

:chai:

Re: Australia

Accomodation is quite expensive is certain parts of the country, like Sydney but general grocery prices are rock bottom compared to many parts of the world.

Oh and they ride Kangaroo's as free taxi's :P
