Another player I would like to comment about is PATHIV PATEL.
He might have scored some handy runs in recent times but I feel that its a toss up between him and Dravid regarding who is better behind the stumps.
PATEL dropped no fewer than 3 catches today including that of Hayden when the batsman was on 0.
I hope the selectors take notice...another luxury (mediocre wicket-keeper cum mediocre batsman) that India can ill-afford.

Totally Agree. I saw Parthic dropping some simple balls against Zaheer and Irfan. He was much better when he came in the team but My God he sucks now. More, Chief Selector must take a decision on him soon because he has gone form a bad keeper to a worse one.
india recent down fall has been amazing, you indians were raving about what a great team you had and rightly so i think you over exagerated the greatness!
loud crowd for sure...the way i see it ....couple of wickets now we;ll have teh indian bowlers come right back....problem is mostly batting this season ....lack of form ...its totally wrong when ppl point fingers at teh indian team ...they are one of teh strongest batting line ups ever....i think its just a matter of when each one will get a good knock ...which unfortunately with team india is nebodyz guess....but still go india on this one(i wanna see australia loose AGAIN)....
Kumble has shown his class in this test. I hope he will get Clarke soon, before he piles up a mountain of runs for India. With current mind set of Indian batsman, if the individual brilliance of Sehwag and Dravid didn't work in the last innings, they can get under pressure even if they have to chase 250+ runs. They must get these two guys out quickly so they can wrap up Aussies within 150 runs lead.

Here's the thing. Indian batsmen need some training in mental toughness. I don't question their batting abilities, just their ability to handle pressure situations. I can almost always correctly predict when there will be a top-order batting collapse.
Bowling is weak and always has been weak though the advent of Pathan and Zaheer has brought some respect to the pace bowling dept. Spinners are OK but rarely match-winners on non-sub-continental pitches.
By the way, Australia 230/4 at Lunch. 80 runs added and no wickets for India today. Gellespie doing an excellent job by just keeping his wicket intact. Unless the post-lunch session is dramatically different, I see Australia going up 2-0 , opening up the possibility of series white-wash. So much about the "final frontier" hype.
Come on some1 show some confidence in your team.
Gangs is really surprising me by taking the ball himself rather than letting Pathan bowl. The aussies have raelly made this a good shot to be a draw by having Martyn and Gillespie hang around for so long. Thats why they are such a great team, they rise to the occasion. A guy like Gillespie comes and faces 180 balls. If that was our Pakistani team, the bowler would have come out hit 3 boundaries and got out on the 4th ball.
99.6 Kumble to Martyn, SIX, conventional leg break, Martyn steps out and lofts the ball high and wide over the long off fence, what a way to bring up ones hundred
104.3 Harbhajan Singh to Martyn, OUT: the straighter one from Harbhajan, just manages to get the edge of Martyn’s bat and ball just about carries to Dravid at first slip who takes a low catch bending forward
Australia 284/5, Partnership of 139
DR Martyn c Dravid b Harbhajan Singh 104 (210b 11x4 1x6)
JN Gillespie 26* (164b 1x4) Harbhajan Singh 37.3-10-84-1
finally the breakthrough that the Indians badly wanted, there is a
buzz around the ground now
what an innings! :k: :k: :k: :k:
104.6 Harbhajan Singh to Gillespie, OUT: get one and the other follows, the dosara from around the wicket, Gillespie tries to defend it, ball takes the edge and goes behind, Dravid dives to his right and takes it comfortably, another hard chance, Dravid made it look easy
Australia 285/6, Partnership of 1
JN Gillespie c Dravid b Harbhajan Singh 26 (165b 1x4 0x6)
2 blows in one over....
aussies look to be in trouble now....
lets see how lehman and clarke can hold things together for aussies....
two new batsmen at the crease....
a tough asking.....
The Aussies are taking the game away from the Indians. I feel that another 50 runs and the match will have completely slipped out of the Indian hands. They have wasted a wonderful opportunity to level the series.
