Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

good match :jhanda:

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

excellent display by our inexperienced bowlers at the end…especially Naved and Rao. They bowled really well. Razzaq batted and bowled very well too…good to see him healthy again. Afridi got hammered in the begining but came back strongly, as he gave away only 8 runs in his last 3 overs in which he got a run out as well. Although it was only Australia A…but I think we will do much better in ODI’s than test matches cuz our team consists of a lot of players who ODI specialists…such as Shoaib Malik, Hafeez, Afridi, Razzaq, Mahmood

I think the only disapointment was the batting of Inzamam and Youhana. They both looked completly out of sorts and I think if they keep playing like this…one of them needs to be dropped because there is replacement who are in much better form…eg. Younis Khan.

Very well played Pakistan :jhanda: :jhanda:

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

Abdul Razzaq is an excellent all-rounder. :k: An excellent player, who can stand at wicket when needed, and can really excelerate run rate at the end of the game. Truley, one of the best all-rounder of current times. Pakistan really needs one more like him.

And man, what has happened to Inamam and Yousaf. The players we trusted in are really makking us angry.   They need to perform really well in the comming triangular series, in order to take Pakistan in FINALS.

any update on Shoaib`s injury ???

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

**Razzaq shines in Pakistan victory **](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Other International | Australia | Razzaq shines in Pakistan victory)

Tour match, Adelaide: Pakistan 279-8 (50 overs) beat Australia A 266 (48.4 overs) by 13 runs

Abdul Razzaq made an unbeaten 89 off 61 balls as Pakistan warmed up for the VB Series with a 13-run victory over Australia A in Adelaide.

Razzaq struck six sixes and was well supported by Mohammad Hafeez (61) as they totalled 279-8 in their 50 overs.

But it did not look like being enough as Brad Haddin responded with a superb 129 for the home side.

They were cruising at 254-4 but lost their last six wickets in the space of four overs to be all out for 266.

Razzaq (2-45) picked up the wickets of Mike Hussey and Dominic Thornely, but it was seam bowler Naved-ul-Hasan who ran through the tail as Australia A threw away their chance to repeat Sunday’s win over West Indies in Hobart.

Haddin, who opened the batting and proved himself a worthy understudy to Adam Gilchrist, hit a six and 11 fours in his 124-ball innings.

He was eventually run out by Yasir Hameed’s throw in the 49th over and the match ended next ball when last man Shaun Tait was caught behind off Hasan for a duck.

Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq was passed fit to play after missing two Test matches against Australia, but he was out of luck at the toss as Haddin chose to put them in.

They lost Salman Butt for 15, bowled by Damien Wright in the eight over, and were soon 48-2 when Kamran Akmal fell in similar fashion to Michael Lewis for 11.

Hameed played well for 30 before he became Wright’s second victim and Pakistan were in trouble on 117-5 when Inzamam (10) and Yousuf Youhana (five), their two most experienced batsmen, fell in quick succession to pace bowling prospect Tait.

Brad Haddin’s century was his fourth in one-day cricket

Hafeez kept his head and was content to play second fiddle as Razzaq quickly got into his stride.

They added 68 for the sixth wicket before Hafeez was caught off spinner Nathan Hauritz, but Shahid Afridi (22 off 14 balls) proved an ideal replacement as he and Razzaq put on 58 in five overs.

Australia A made a confident start in reply, despite losing opener James Hopes for 13 in Iftikhar Anjum’s third over.

Brad Hodge contributed 30 to a stand of 65 before he was bowled by Azhar Mahmood and David Hussey weighed in with 45 as he and Haddin added 109 in 17 overs for the third wicket.

But Thornely’s departure, lbw to Razzaq for 16, triggered a collapse and Australia A were all out with eight balls of their innings remaining.

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

well, shoaib will be fit very soon...
he is taking injections but it needs rest of 48 hours minimum...

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

well palyed
hope abdul razaq will do the same in the trinaiton tournament.

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

Excellent, wonderfull, great???

My ass!

254-4 in 44 overs by Aus A against a 50 plus year old TEST nation?.

NOT GOOD AT ALL

They should have beaten them with ease.

Pakistan is in trouble.

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

^ FG itna ghusa. Yaar this same team beat WI and would give many other teams a run for their money. However, I agree it was not a convincing victory and Pakistan will need to perform better. Younis will be back in the matches and with either Inzi or Yoyo coming good we should be able to handle the ODI's better.

Re: Australia A vs Pakistan

Buss zara ghussa aagaya thaa aftr reading all these posts crediting the team with 'excellent performance'. The good news is that our younger bowlers - rana and ifti are delivering the goods too. That and Razzler's knock are the only good stuff form this match.
