I had predicted an easy win for the Aussies, but now it looks like SA will get away with a draw. Aussies have no one to blame except themselves, I mean come on declaring at 490?? That was overkill, considering the highest chased total at Perth is 300 odd. They barely gave themselves any time to get them out. Hats off to SA if they can pull it off.

With their top players (Hayden, Ponting, Langer) failing to make big score against SA and all the heat up comments exchange before the start of the test I think Aussies were still feeling a little insecure for declaring at 300 or less. I am sure the Ashes defeat is still haunting them plus they want to show they are still number 1 so thats why they wanted to make sure they are over safe line before declaring.
Beating World IX and Windies I think they still need to prove and over come the Ashes defeat.

yeaa world 11 and windies wins dont mean n e thing. there middle order was exposed and still is, hayden is done, i think caanot play quality bowling n e more. gilchrist also hasnt scored a big 1 in a while. this would be big for SA and as im listening to audio commentry ponting is being blamed, for his unimaginative captaincy
