Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Started today, and Eng wrapped up Aus’s first inning at 60 runs :hehe:

This is not Eng with likes of McGrath or Shane Warne, even James Anderson was not bowling.

Stuard Broad took 8 wickets.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Is this real? Or is it April 1.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

I was so confused by the score board Aus: 60 Eng: 13/0, I had to go back and re-read. Broad wrecked havoc!

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Yes. Verified. Glad the Aussies have to eat humble pie. Without home cooking and favorable umpiring they have been reduced to nothing.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

This IMO is worst than Pak folding for 59 and 53 against Aus in 2002. Pak team comprised of inexperienced batsmen while this Aus team is far from that kind of 'inexperience'.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

I just saw the score .. and O my.. are you freaking kidding meeee???!!! Way to go England.. lets kick the arrogant asses of Aussies real hard. Just wish England take a 300 lead but i doubt it though.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Australia’s capitulation during the last test and esp. their performance here makes this writer look like an arrogant twit.

Currently Eng cruising at 208/3, Joe in 90s

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Luv Joe root

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Can this test finish in two days?

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Joe Root has had a good career so far but he hasn't played much in unfamiliar conditions (India, UAE and Lanka)

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

England should bat all day tomorrow and bat Australia out of the match and Ashes. With lead already 214 another 300 tomorrow and than let the Aussies face the music for the next three days or three hours which ever comes first.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

This Ashes has not been competitive at all. All the games so far have been pretty one-sided. The first two tests finished inside 4 days and the 3rd test finished on the third day! This test should also finish on day 2 or 3 (more likely). Aussie batting has been woeful in this series. They dominated at Lords (2nd test) but it was a flat wicket.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

After strong start of 2nd innings by Aus 113/0 they crumble to 138/4. Now its upto the pup-captain (Clarke), Voges and Nevil to save from ***beisti *** :hehe:

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

The Aussie public is very emotional about the Ashes just like South Asians are about the WC (we want wholesale changes in the team after every World Cup failure even though w.c. performance has little to do with one's test ability!). Clarke will most likely be sacked as captain if Australia lose the Ashes 3-1 or 4-1. A win in the next test at The Oval might save him. He has failed to lead with the bat as well averaging a woeful 17 in the series so far.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Australian team ko kia 'laqva' maar gayaa hai? bhalaa bataayeN...60 all out! huh!

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

Clarke is doing a Dhoni. The difference is Aussies will move on. While Dhoni was persisted with years after he lost his Test mojo - if ever he had one.

Re: Aus vs Eng - 4th Investec test - Ashes

The Aussies came roaring back, more than quadrupling their first inning total.

With their premier batsman Starc still out there.
