i live in the desert.
waise i have tkn some pictures to scare everyone but i need some stupid cable to transfer from my mob to the pc. you know i showed those eid pic i celebrated in pk with family to a co-worker. she refused to believe that was me

but i dunno why it did not work before. what i had done before was only disabled firewall. but this time i disabled everything to do with norton. i mean disabled every security protection.

my pc at home somehow got locked (i have no idea how) i somehow managed to unlock it with the help of customer support but i had to format the whole thing so now each and everything is WIPED OFF. it means all that music and what not. im supposed to take it to the service centre. but have no time atleast for next three days

not only the d/l ones but also the ones i sang and… do you know how many hours i had used up of my lousy dial-up to d/l all those? 
and then there were pictures and… oh so much other stuff.
im so fed up. im just waiting for dad. im gonna get dsl (i need his signatures on the dsl forms cz tenancy contract is under his name. stupid rules in the desert)
and oh yeah… KAZAA is also formatted so. i have to reinstall ALL the softwares again. right now my pc is like a barren machine sitting at home.

barren machine means it free from virus and other good stuff tho. Btw, do not install Kazaa anymore, its full of nasty spywares. Instead install Kazaa-Lite which doesnt have these buggers. Ill PM you the link.

Umar Talib, I have encountered another problem.
Since my PC had to be formatted and reinstalled everything. I was just trying to reinstall that wave-mp3 converter from the link you provided on the first page of this thread. it downloads successfully but while installing, it’s giving me this error. I had recorded a fresh audio clip now. wanted to put that up but cant as i cant install wave-mp3 converter. below is the screen shot of the error i get. please help if you can, thanks:

oh and yeah, “retry” and “ignore” doesnt work. I have to click “abort” to get rid of the popup. phulleeez help

my eyes are so tired they’re watering. i recorded a fresh audio just now after practicing for a few minutes cz i really wanted to put it up now but… sigh

you told me once you have Audigy?
It comes with a software
its called "Creative WaveStudio"
Open that programme [you should have it] It is on the Audigy drivers CD.. so if you installed it comeplete it should be installed!!
Open the WAV file with WaveStudio.
- no need to convert,
- just go into "FILE" menu
- then choose "SAVE AS"
- then choose MP3 in the box below
and save it .
That's it!
next time, use this same progammes to record also!!!

i listened to the clip i recorded yday and thought it sounded silly. i wanna do it again before uploading. im gonna do it today most probably.

recorded after a very short practice. think can do better if practised more.
oh and Gizzy thanks for telling me about that function in creative to turn wave into mp3. you know before i was using “sound recorder” for these clips cz of which the clips were not in continuity but now. i dont need to keep clicking the record button on “sound recorder” after every 60 secs of the song. this is a pretty good help.
