Audio Gallery

Re: Audio Gallery

This problem is most likely browser-specific and/or related to browser configuration. Something to do with iframe (inline frame). Its not specific to anyone's userid or how much the admins love/hate them. To re-create the problem would require more info from TNW and what kinda OS and browser version (im guessing she uses IE) etc, lest she is willing to give remote access to her PC hahah

Re: Audio Gallery

Will it help if she posts a screenshot of the relevant part of the Advanced tab in the Tools-Internet Options?

Re: Audio Gallery

Sent her a PM waiting for reply.

5Abi, I have tested all diffrent broswers, all worked fine for me. But she is using IE as seen here:

Re: Audio Gallery

There are few points, TNWB can try, only in case GS-admin have not restricted her account for uploading, that need to be checked by GS-techies. Diagnose that problem by debugging that error message, should not be a big problem!?!
TNWB, need to:

  • Update windows, as her windows is not updated currently, that can bee seen in that image!
  • Delete all cookies and files stored in cache!
  • Restart and see if that works!

This dilemma is not about any browser; this is about rights and permissions!

An inlined document might be unreachable for various reasons, e.g.

  • user is viewing a page offline and an iframe element refers to a document elsewhere
  • the element refers to a document on another server which happens to be down or unreachable
  • the src attribute does not refer to any document, e.g. because the URL stopped working due to a site reorganization.

In such cases, i.e. when the document referred to in the src attribute of an iframe is not available, Internet Explorer displays an error message from its attempt to access it, rather than the content of the iframe element as a replacement. Thus, it displays, in the area allocated for the inline frame, a message reporting that the page cannot be displayed. That message could be rather enigmatic, like:

  1. Navigation Canceled
  2. **Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames **or in case of GS
  3. Go away!! You are not allowed to use the form directly.

Re: Audio Gallery

From the source code:

  <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
 function mediapopUp() {
 props=window.open('[http://gim.gupshup.org/cgi-bin/gal/imagePost.cgi?11313](http://gim.gupshup.org/cgi-bin/gal/imagePost.cgi?11313)', 'poppage', 'toolbars=0, scrollbars=0, location=0, statusbars=0 , menubars=0, resizable=0, width=399, height=253, left = 440, top = 312');
 }
 </script>
 <font face="verdana,arial,helvetica" size="1" >  <A HREF="javascript:mediapopUp()">Click here to Upload</A></font>

 				</div>
 </fieldset>

 <fieldset class="fieldset">
 	<legend>Upload Mp3</legend>
 			<div>
 <iframe name="I1" src="[http://gim.gupistan.com/gsvposts/media/up.php?11313](http://gim.gupistan.com/gsvposts/media/up.php?11313)" border="0" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"
 height="45" width="100%">
                 Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline frames.
                 </iframe>

 <br><br>				</div>
  </fieldset>

Now if you tried to upload the file directly using this link http://gim.gupistan.com/gsvposts/media/up.php, you would get the
error message “Go away!! You are not allowed to use the form directly”

Im not sure why she gets this error as she is not trying to upload the file directly here.

To be continued ..

Re: Audio Gallery

aha, just as i posted the above the direct upload link works now. You should be able to upload the files directly using this link http://gim.gupistan.com/gsvposts/media/up.php

Wonder if it fixed TNW’s problem :smiley:

Re: Audio Gallery

**^ tested the direct link and it works :D

Re: Audio Gallery

dont think it was this form.

Re: Audio Gallery

but you are able to upload the mp3 files with the direct link now. Before it was giving you "Go away!! You are not allowed to use the form directly" message. Same message that TNW was getting. Go figure :D

Re: Audio Gallery

no it never gave me that message, no matter what I tried.

Re: Audio Gallery

Go ask Azkar what he did LOL

Re: Audio Gallery

Re: Audio Gallery

IM BACK!!! … for now sigh

had evening duty yesterday. Got back home sooo late cz of jammed traffic on the weekend. was sooo tired. and now at work again since early morning. and i am sooo tired. had to pulllll myself out of bed this morning. had strong coffee but still sleepy sigh

thank you all for trying to help me. i must bow to Dada Abbaa’s intelligence. it surprised me when i found out that he is right (it’s my system error). ive found it with Gizzy’s help. I got the same message using another user id. and Gizzy, yes, when i tried opening (New Topic" from work, i saw the same as shown in your screen shot. which means it does not appear only on my pc. so i would have to act upon Dada Abbaa’s advice. now…

although i have read Dada Abbaa’s post twice, most of it flies from above my head :bummer:

he says:
*Update windows, as her windows is not updated currently, that can bee seen in that image!

  • how do i update my win? and what in the image let you know it is not updated?

*Delete all cookies and files stored in cache!

  • i would do that today after getting home, InshaAllah.

and i do not understand, “the src attribute does not refer to any document, e.g. because the URL stopped working due to a site reorganization”… terms like “iframe” and “src attributes”? :bummer:

thank you all once again. im gonna retry as soon as i reach home… if i didnt fall into bed, that is.

Re: Audio Gallery

Ive deleted all the cookies and temporary internet files on my pc. and i when i tried to update windows, just as i clicked "install now" within a few seconds, it said, it is adviseable to restart your pc to let updates function. i was surprised at how this update could be over so fast and doubted it even updated it. anyway, i clicked "restart now". it restarted. and i came back to post the audio clips again but ......................... SAME MESSAGE.... "Go Away"!!!

im really sick and tired now... i really need some sleep/

Re: Audio Gallery

5Abi - trying to use this link (direct as you call it), this is what i got:

[thumb=H]untitled220892_4334162.JPG[/thumb]

thank you but it’s not working. what do i do??? :crying:

Re: Audio Gallery

TNWB,
for windows update, click here!
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/default.aspx?ln=en-us

Try using any other PC with the same nick,
Try using using other nick on the same pc (need to make new ID)

Try these se what happenes!

Also if you have any firewall, try to shut off that and try again without any fire wall,

TNWB, that’s all u can do maximum on your side.

5abi,
inlined codes for embedded multimedia, and can not be seen or saved as offline pages!

Re: Audio Gallery

^ okay i went on the same link before. anyway im doing it again now but this time it is taking time to update and showing me the status so i know that it is updating this time:

[thumb=H]untitled320892_9218156.JPG[/thumb]

i had set up firewall long time ago but all that time i was able to upload audio (my older audio clips). anyway, id check that too.

Re: Audio Gallery

i did that and as i said, it IS my system error cz when i try to upload with a new nick from my pc, it gives me the same message (Go Away). but when i trie from my work pc, it give me the link to “browse” and upload. which means it is only happening on my pc.

i knew it i knew it!!! I HAVE JINNS AT HOME :crying:

:bummer:
