I sometimes feel the same. Its not that I am shallow or anything, I like some girls who are in my class or elsewhere and they are average looking but only after I get to know them. Just sitting across a stranger and hoping for a spark doesn’t really work that way. And no girl wants to carry on get-to-know process for months .. you gotta decide in few weeks which I think is quite intimidating.
My mom thinks there is not even a need to talk to girl for weeks - she says just talk to her once and get married. I told her no way bye lol. If it doesn’t work out I am afraid I will end up marrying some white chick (which is not my first choice) because there are no brown chicks where I live and even in that brown chick my mom want to find someone who is shia …i was like come on !!!
