Attitudes towards male rape victims

Re: Attitudes towards male rape victims

It’s not talked about because there’s an idea that society has put out there there men are supposed to be macho. Maybe not superior, but strong, able to stand up for them selves, etc.
Rape is always associated with females, because, again, society has deemed us dainty, unable to fight for our selves, etc.

It happens, but it’s just not discussed. And when it is brought up, I’m going to argue that the reaction depends on the cultural circle that it’s being discussed in. First off, most people wouldn’t bother bringing it up because… Well maybe they just don’t think it happens.
And the off chance that it’s brought to someone’s attention who hasn’t heard of it before, it’s made fun of and just laughed off as “not a big issue.”

Like Ghosty said, rape is rape. Being sexual aroused is the body’s natural response. But “no” should still means no.
