Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
That "uprising" was so horrible, that man Juhayman was claiming that he was the Mahdi, they killed so many innocent people inside the Haram when they laid seige to it, it was really sad and terrible what they did
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
^ it was saudis who killed so many and blamed it on Juhayman , they controlled media and propogated lies
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
And the hundreds of innocent people who were held hostage at gunpoint for weeks in the Haram, that was the fault of the Saudi government too right!!
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
Do you expect the Saudi government to do good? lol
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
what is the purpose (behind) of this website?
And the hundreds of innocent people who were held hostage at gunpoint for weeks in the Haram, that was the fault of the Saudi government too right!!
if they didnt usurp the money of the people and enforce islam then this would not have taken place , so eventually that is the saudis fault

Das You can't be 100 % SURE of that statement are you?
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
Das Reich, you want us to feel sorry for a bunch of terrorists who couldn't even leave Makkah alone in peace? Are you serious?
Das You can't be 100 % SURE of that statement are you?
why did they block all media coverage if the saudis are so honest then ?
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
SubhaanAllah! and what is purpose of this thread during the month of Ramadan? Cannot we focus on ibadah and discussions related it for Allah's Love?
There was nothing "pious" or "revolutionary" about the attack on Haram sharif.
The guys who did the black deed were the Saudi predecessors of modern day Alqaida. Yes AQ didn't exist by name. But the idea of using Wahabi Islam to overthrow Saudi (or other) government has been around for ages.
People who object to Saudi governmental version of Islam must realize that Islam be it Shia or Sunni has the same fundamentalist tendencies. That's why Iran hasn't done much better than Saudis.
In fact in some ways Iranian Islam has done poorly in terms of improving national infrastructure and empowering ordinary masses.
Ultimately no one can change Saudis or Iranis if they want to remain stuck with the old aka tribal ways.
No amount of "schooling" can change the Jihadi tendencies either in staunch Sunnis, or staunch Shias.
Saudi and Iranian regimes are pretty much stuck at the same place where Christian countries were stuck some 400 years ago.
Christian countries cured their religiositcal diseases by separating their Kings from their temples/churches/mosques.
Saudi and Iranians too have to kick the dirty politicians / corrupt government officials out of the mosques.
Only then mosques will be protected from state's abuse,
only then mosques will serve their real purpose aka spiritual enlightenment.
In holy month of fasting,
O Pakistani origin guppies!
for Allah's sake, please stop adopting despicable ways of Saudis and Iranis.
We in Pakistan were much more tolerant and enlightened until the religious menace struck us in the form Saudi funded madrassahs and Iranian funded Imamia/Jafria movements.
May Allah save us from the religious intolerance so common in Saudi and Iran. Amin.

First of all, the TV coverage was not ALL that blocked... And even if it were(which was not), it might be perhaps usually governments try to limit the info to the media till they have perfect hold on the situation (we are talking about a sudden burst here, not a controlled time delayed conspiracy theory). You know how things work.
Anyways... are u asking for another uproar?
Or are sympathetic in any way???

what better ibadah than talk about establishment of a true claiphate in arabia ?

Bro Das!
Do you know the meaning of "Haram" Sharif, or more specifically do you know what are all the "haraam" (forbidden) stuff in the Haram sharif?
Or perhaps you need to revisit the concept of "moral high ground".
Thank you.
Re: Attempted Revolution at Makkah 1979
But as usual when it happend the first finger of accusation was raised towards Israel/USA.
But as usual when it happend the first finger of accusation was raised towards Israel/USA.
Unfortunately that is true.
1979's attack on Haram sharif resulted in precisely what you mention. Iranian radio quoted Imam Khomeni's accusation against USA being part of that heinous attack.
The result?
Pakistani JI and other apes ransacked and burned down US embassies, consulates and cultural centers.
See how smart Pakistan's Islamists are!

Bro Das Reich
This thread has done nothing but given burqapohsx a platform to rant against jihad ... taking it out of context yet again.
What is your point for posting this? I sense this thread will be closed soon if this type of discussion goes on much longer.
