^ then lets take the blame one step further and blame it on the right person i.e. the government for not paying attention to demands, not taking steps to ensure that it doesn’t come to this point, for changing people in administration who were assisting in investigations etc.

Whatever the faults of government are, you cannot excuse people like IK and TUQ, and ignore their conduct. Nobody has the right to challenge the state. Police are an organ of the state.
