Re: Attack on pindi madressa
As far as why coverage was not given to this carnage, its expected that its PMLN's stronghold why should they broadcast anything which can hurt them?

Re: Attack on pindi madressa
Fair enough, if you're a religions person who believes in theory or magic, but big elephant in the room is religion in politics. Pakistan was a tolerant country until 70s when people lived together w/o bloodshed. What has changed since then?
Overall tolerance level of people decreased.
Nothing to do with religion in all matters. Is religion involved in problems like Karo Kari, wani, distribution of water in fields (the main reasons taking lives in rural Pakistan)?

Thats my reading of the situation, if it were in KPK the media would have been all over it.

Failure of Punjab government, as they failed to ensure a peaceful Moharram. Kudos to the other three provinces.

Pakistan is on fire not b/c of social ills pointed out by you (I doubt if you seriously believe that), but b/c of religious people killing every one else who they think is not sufficiently religious or disagrees with their brand of religion.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
yes they have failed and next time they should order police to shoot on the spot if any person from any Jaloos try to kill other people or public property. They should banned these things. But at the same time they people who cry over the act of SSP should also admit the peaceful role of sipah-e-muhamad … mairi taqreer khatam hoi :cobra:

I don't agree that religion or religious people are responsible for all the ills in society. So called liberal parties like PPP, MQM, ANP are all part of the problem, who can only provide lip service to address solutions.
Referring to your 1970's peaceful and prosperous Pakistan, it was not divided by religious people and parties, it was divided by these liberals and it was not divided peacefully. go figure how much blood is on these liberal's hands.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
You all are pathetic. Those of you who are Pakistani should be remembering the victims and working on a solution and not dividing amongst yourselves. You are sorry excuses for human beings and Muslims.
Just pathetic.
The rest of you who feel uncomfortable in your brown skin, well done on pour gasoline on a simple fire. This is why I think half of the posters on GS are horrible human beings. You have no concept of compassion. And its sickening that those of you in Pakistan don't realize this.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
Yes, they are liberal according to Pakistani definition.

Re: Attack on pindi madressa
A very sad incident indeed. Inna lillahe wa’ina elaiheh rajioon.
don’t know who initiated this or what happened exactly but people died irrespective of whether they were shia or sunni. It is really upsetting.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
One person can’t represent the whole lot. ANP was popular for its communist views in 70s and 80s. Thats a different topic. Lets not derail the discussion more.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
This is how humans reply to such sad events. no if/buts . :k:
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
I hate it when any sect does this. Why are they allowed to keep it on late? Other than the azaan - nothing should be broadcast. It is completely insensitive that ANY SECT has to play things really loud. I have heard other sects play Quran, Naats to early morning.
and now i have seen pictures of smiling shuhadah.
On social media some one shared a video of the mob killing a madressa students and another video by sunnis that they should wakeup. Situation can be controlled if shias stop justifying this and hand over the culprits.otherwise i am not seeing some thing good in future.
ALLAH Pak hifazat karain sub logo ki.
my parents told me yesterday imambargah near our house was very aggressive yesterday and they kept loudspeakers on till very late after sham e ghariban by playing marsiyay in full volume. Not a good way to handle this situation.
Re: Attack on pindi madressa
It is clear that some Shias have a hatred for Deobandis and feel the need to rub it in their faces. Why do they curse Sahaba, who are the companions of the Prophet? I have heard Shias do this but I was in doubt.
It is a about time the authorities grew a spine and said if you are going to be having a procession you take the safe way, even if its longer
. A procession full of people cursing some of the main figures revered by Islam is not going to go down well in a country of Muslims who feels it has become the saviour of the religion. Why do the Shias curse the Sahaba, who most Muslims revere?
I'm witness of such clashes in my hometown. Yes, it was a common practice by Shia to pass through sunni areas and stop near a deobandi madarsa for longer time and cursing Sahaba. They use to give a feeling that Yazeed's darbar was in process in the Madarsa and result was clashes (though no casualties). Considering these issues, administration of the town now supervise procession vigilantly and don't allow the procession to stay in front of Madarsa. They just cross Madarsa (as they didn't agree to change the route.. Though the alternate route to reach their destination Imam-Bargah is more open and shorter).
The point is if it was known that Madarsa in route of Pindi procession was of SSP or any opposite sect, the procession should have been supervised properly and there should not have been allowed use of loud-speakers either in juloos or in Masjid/Madarsa at the time of procession. Alternate route should be taken in such circumstances and ego like (its our traditional route, we can't change it to belittle our iman) should not be allowed by authorities at the expense of human lives.
