I know atleast one person in GS who admitted to be an atheist. I hope he can answer your question. Apparently, he wishes that even Quran must be changed because the time has changed.
My own understanding is that people who become atheist are the one who fail to understand that Allah:swt: tests His people and those who do not realize it lose faith in HIM ending up failing the test itself and thus their faith and Imaan.

i think i may have been an atheist at some time, probably a part of me still is, and that's only cos of the huge proportions of suffering/injustice i see in the world around me. that cannot/shouldnot be the will of God.

To an extent, maybe...as the burden of proof is on those who make the claim.
But an atheist, unlike an agnostic, makes the claim that there is no God, so to this ends they are just as burdened with a proof.

to say there is no proof means that all proofs are known and have been eliminated.

That is incorrect. The definition of atheism is the belief that there is in fact no God. There is no proof of this belief either. Atheists cite the lack of evidence for existence to justify their own belief, while simultaneously ignoring requests that they provide evidence for non-existence.

1, by ignoring my argument, i am taking it that you accept that the claim of atheists that "there is no proof of the existence of god" is illogical. if even one proof of god's existence exists or exists sometime in the future or has existed in the past, this claim is false. this is basic logic. so atheists make a claim that is illogical.
2, there are many proofs of god's existence produced by many different people. in fact, there is not a single nation on this earth, from the beginning of humanity's existence until now, that has existed without having some sort of divinity as part of its thought process.
3 the proofs of god are varied and not all of them have been disproven, IMO. my initial question was directed to atheists.......so the onus is on atheists to disprove all proofs of god.

This is a common circular argument. You ask to provide with evidence that something does not exist. So, in order for me to take you up on that, I have to start with the belief that god exists and the try to disprove it.
I say god does not exist because there is no proof. No evidence. The lack of proof is the very basis for the beliefs of the athiests.

Dude what are you saying? Ignore what argument? I'm not here trying to shove one of various gods down anybody's throat. Therefore, yo the believer, has the burden of proof. If you can prove it, I'll believe you.
What are the proofs? Some arbitrary books?
I say the true god is the Australian Aboriginal god. Prove me wrong.

Religions are made to control people. The rules are set to make people stay within the limitations that the religion had set. Why would one religion say you can drink alcohol and the other say you cannot? No religion wants to harm its followers. If you can set your own rules, then why bother following some one elses. Its the idealogy of the followers that makes the religion bad. Religions are mostly man made, not God. If God had made the religion, why do many?

don't answer my question with another question. if your proof is to disprove other theories, state the reasoning behind your disproving. that is the evidence i asked for in post #1 of this thread.
