My Lord , I have more questions, thou art the most Merciful and knower of all, I have more questions, can I know…
So Mary was the mother of Eesa ( fabricated to Jesus by Christians in the Bible) but I could not understand from the story in the Final Book as to who the father was.
1)** Is it you God? (Please forgive me for asking) **
** Is Eesa the Christ (Jesus) really Your son as the Christians say? **
O Lord! thank you, may you protect those who submit to you, from those who blaspheme your Name by claiming you had a son through one of your favored creations .
Indeed thou have no need for a son and misguided are those who will make such a claim.
*Disclaimer : Actual word used by the Creator as his true and proper name is Allah in all original scriptures , ( not God as is refer to in this post for convenience ) Eesa (or spelt Esa , Isa, Issa) is the true name of Christ and Mariam is the true name of the Mother of Christ. *
Ibrahim says : If you have questions with this regards, you are welcome.
Perhaps the purpose would be best served by trying to disprove Trinity using the christians own scriptures ?
Us muslims know and have always known that Jesus is just an Apostle of Allah, and not his son...but the reason why we are muslims and the others non muslims is because they donot believe in the word of Allah.

Dear Manic, indeed Jazak Allahu khair for the advice. I think maybe after this “Asking God” series is over on this topic, Insha Allah I will have to start “Asking the Bible” series, which could look solely at the Bible and what it says and cross link it to “Asking God” series .
Only problem I feel guilty making too many posts on this forum and wish others will post instead of me.
On the other hand I was hoping some of our Christian brothers and sisters on this forum will try to refute the above message from God, which seems difficult for Christians to do directly. Even the Pope seems to play hide and seek when it comes to open direct discussions based on scripture.
The problem here is without discussion, each can claim you go your way and I will go mine , which is the approved way . Yet one must be willing to look at both sides and I welcome discussions based on facts.
Well, thanks for the suggestion.
Was salaam
Ibrahim

Thank you for the link and offence why would there be?, when the forum is meant for exploring religions and its beliefs, right? I think everyone knows what the Christian point of view is concerning Christ, but are they willing to discuss it?
Maybe you can email the author and ask him/her to visit this thread for a friendly discussion based on facts ?
Regards
Ibrahim

What exactly qualifies as "original" scriptures? As far as i know, except for semitic religions, no other religions call their God(s) anything close to "Allah".
Even assuming for a moment that these are people who have forgotten what was revealed to them by prophets in their own part of the world, one would assume that the last thing anyone would mess around with would be God's own name. How do you explain this?
Would appreciate it if you could give a short and clear answer without any name calling.

You want to start such a series even though it has been proven time and again that you can only do misquoting/misrepresentation from the Bible?

I have too much respect for my Muslim friends on this forum to start "dishing" their religion. Anyway, by just reading all the comments, I continue to learn about your religion.
Keep the series going, dear Ibrahim.

Dear Old man. You keep disappearing whenever I refute your claims, yet you say you have proven? O Lord, when will people learn to be honest!
Dear Queer, even though you claim you are Indian, you seem to be lacking knowledge about Hinduism . if you want to talk about Hinduism, kindly go here http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/Forum13/HTML/003320.html and try to deny them. So that you will understand what is original scripture

The Arabic word for God is ILLAH. The word Allah means the only God.
i'm sorry, but you might want to take a look at what exactly i had asked here. your post couldnt sound more out of place. here is a hint that might help: i asked for a clear answer.
google,
what i meant was, arabic itself belongs to the semitic family of languages, and other semitic languages have words similar to "Allah" for God.
Queer brother sorry to butt in, but it is more likely that the Sun will rise in the West tomorrow than that Ibrahim will post something that makes sense.
In that sense it is immaterial what trhe alleged ‘topic’ of the thread is!!
So you wasted your time typing that message.

If you are asking about other Semitic language (eg Hebrew), I believe they use a different word for Allah.
And there is no reason to believe otherwise.
Sooner or later we all stand before God in judgment -- are you going to be in "smoking" or "nonsmoking"?

Dear Ibrahim, pardon me for only infrequently visiting this forum due to my workload. You have thus far not succeeded in disproving ANY Christian dogma I have stated - period.
Once you start to get insulting and talking in circles, I tend to leave the discussion as it does not warant any further attention. In general I accept that you will never admit to making errors yourself. I on the other hand is but a sinner and tool in the hand of God Almighty, and sometimes I fail.
I repeat my previous stateement: I have too much respect for my Muslim friends on this forum to start "dishing" their religion.
Keep well.

Ibrahim says : Old man Good to know you are able to visit when you can and able to make false claims when you can and able to disappear without response when you can.
Ibrahim says : you mean, that is your best excuse for your inabilities , don’t you?. It is so very easy to say you feel insulted when you have no answers, right? When I am using the Bible to refute you, why say I am insulting or talking in circles, is there a time when I have not quoted a verse in the bible for my assertions?
Ibrahim say: which is what you seem to be doing, it seems even lying openly is acceptable to you., when it comes to your faith
Ibrahim says: sorry Old man. failing due to ignorance is one thing but openly lying to deceive others is another
Ibrahim says: that is your option but here we discuss on the basis of facts and this forum is meant for religious discussions not about political correctness or lying in order to promote untruths.
what i meant was, only other semitic languages (due to their closeness etymologically) have words that are at least similar sounding to "Allah" to refer to God/Gods. for eg., "E-llee" is God in Aramic. the rest of the languages in the world have other words and sounds to refer to God.
Ibrahim,
sorry, but that post is neither short nor clear. and being a hindu, with reasonable knowledge of hindu scriptures, i am quite easily able to discern what is fact and what is fabricated/forced interpretation in that particular thread, which forces me to file it as poppycock.
Once you start to get insulting and talking in circles, I tend to leave the discussion as it does not warant any further attention. In general I accept that you will never admit to making errors yourself.<<
agree completely here with Old Man. i have observed precisely the same pattern in the arguments i have had with Ibrahim.
Ibrahim says: LOL! shooting your mouth off again Queer dear? It seems no amount of evidence will be acceptable to a Hindu . And Queer is only capable of talking nonsense as he seems to be repeatedly exposing his folly must be the air.
As for the rest who are interested in knowing the TRUTH, kindly visit www.peshitta.org and type God in the Aramaic lexicon and you will get
Pronunciation: (Eastern) AaLaH
(Western) AaLoH
as the basic root word used in Aramaic referring to God NEVER E-llee as Queer is claiming.
Get any Arabic Bible and it will record from head to toe as “Allah” being the word used for God in the OT as well as the NT
In Hebrew scripture
The root word used for Allah is “EL” which is pronounced as “Ale”
Or
el-o-heem’ = God
el-aw’ =God
el-o’-ah=God
ale =God
yeh-ho-vee’ = lord but read by the Hebrews as el-o-heem
yeh-ho-vaw’=the existing One
ad-o-noy’ =Lord
aw-done’ =master , lord
in Greek scripture the root word used for God is ** theos **
but Queer will not accept that , in fact he is the only Hindu who will deny that “abba” pronounced as “appa” and the word “Amma” pronounced as “amma” is not used by Indians in India which is actually an Aramaic word for father and mother. used by Christ
** rvikz, spilled the beans on our dishonest queer, when he tried to deny it. what a shame.**
Ibrahim says: That only means you do not have the capacity to understand such matters. Sorry you need to know abc’s of scripture before you can understand such matters and it is obvious that you will deny anything and everything, since you are only hindu who is claiming that the Britannica encyclopedia is wrong with out any evidence accept you own desire.
Ibrahim says: You can do what you like but the scriptures won’t be changing in content or nature as to what they convey and the wise will know it, since it is attested by the educated and the ignorant will remain ignorant since that was their choice.
Ibrahim says : and the wise foretold that birds of a feather will flock together. Thus don’t expect me to worry about what you and the rest of those who are lying for their faith will say without evidence.
Now, if you want to argue, put forward evidence, failing which, don’t waste my time
Thanks
Ibrahim

The word "son" was employed among the Semites to signify not only filiation, but other close connexion or intimate relationship. Thus, "a son of strength" was a hero , a warrior, "son of wickedness" a wicked man, "sons of pride" wild beasts, "son of possession" a possessor, "son of pledging" a hostage, "son of lightning" a swift bird, "son of death" one doomed to death, "son of a bow" an arrow, "son of Belial" a wicked man, "sons of prophets" disciples of prophets etc. The title "son of God" was applied in the Old Testament to persons having any special relationship with God. Angels, just and pious men.
