Its like dream come true. Pakistan’s own McGrath :jhanda: I hope other bowlers bowling along with him will learn some control and application from him.

I know i know. Asif just made me eat my words again badly. This guys line and length was awesome. He bowls the same length and line as Mcgrath.. I am predicting he will take 300 wickets adleast in his career. How old is he??

In one of the thread about Munaf Patel I posted stating “I can bet Munaf is better than Asif any day” but I think that was my mistake I have to eat my words.

The reason for my above statement was after watching Asif (I think it was 1ST test 2nd inning) he was not very impressive as Munaf was in last test against England even though England won that test. BUT in this 2nd test against SL I see Asif bowling completely different. The surprissing thing for me to note in this inning was Asif willing to bowl yorkers and that too on target (I guess Vicky is working hard). Thats the main difference I saw between Asif and Munaf.

Glad Asif proved me wrong and he is becoming more lethal day by day. :k:

M Asif... just what the doctor ordered. I hope other upcoming bowlers in Pakistan take note. There's no substitute for good line and length and seam bowling. Hats off to him.

I couldn’t help but think, if we would have selected either one of the pacers from U-19 team, particularly Anwar Ali (with his giant in-swinging deliveries), would he and Asif had the potential to rip through Sri Lankan batting line-up?

Now Asif is one guy against whom it is very difficult to complain abt....He has a clean action...Lovely control....and seems to be like a gentleman...

Lets see how he handles fame now...

But Im waiting to see him bowling with Akhtar....seems like a fabulous proposition...I hope he succeeds against all teams except "Mera Bharat Mahaan :D"
