Asif should have been in the side for the England tour, if you recall he had taken 10 wickets in the warm up game. Unfortunately, Inzi's no risk policy regarding trying out youngsters prevented that, and instead we persisted with Sami for a ridiculously long time. I am sure there are many other bowlers like Asif out there, some examples in the recent U19 Cup. Too bad they'll have to wait for injuries and life bans before getting a chance.
Asif got 11 wickets and took Pak to a superb victory. I'm waiting for him to do well inshAllah and Eng tour is the key to see how Pak fares....

Asif is very intelligent and mature. He is a great find and evolving at the right time. We need a seamer who can swing the bowl both ways. He along with Shoaib and another pace attack can help shape our bowling line-up to lethal. We use to have Aqib Javed and his swing, Asif can do the same. Australians have Mc Grath, we have Asif who is young and growing with time. He'll be great coming WC '07.
God forbid if he fails in 4-5 games, then these same people will be out calling for his blood. :D
Poor Rana is still getting over the mental torture unleashed after one bad series. Once upon a time, Rana was the best thing that happened to Pakistan cricket in a long long time.
