Heard the news yesterday about a player's sample testing positive andwas hoping that it won't be Asif.
If I remember correctly PCB did test all contracted players before T20 WC in South Africa last year and Asif tested negative at that time. So something he took between then and IPL.
I thought PCB announced that they would be conducting their own in-house testing on regular basis. What happened to that??? Apparently they didn't test anyone after the pre T20 testing.
As far as Asif is concerned, he should be banned if his sample B also come positive (assuming that he will definitely go for sample B analysis). We don't need him if the idiot wants to destroy his own career.
Talking about sample B, apparently IPL did a big goof up by disclosing Asif' name prematurely and they may face some consequences. The WADA code clearly says that public disclosure of an athelete is not allowed until the full administrative review process which includes sample B analysis is not completed
