well said FB.
Shrilanka was better and deserved the victory. but still long way to go.
Imran Farhat is gonna miss the remaining matches. Further chance for Imran Nazir to show what he has.
==================================
**Injured Imran Farhat may miss remaining ties **
Pakistan opener Imran Farhat has become a doubtful starter for the remaining matches of the Asia Cup tournament after he twisted his ankle just before the game on Wednesday against Sri Lanka.
Farhat was replaced by Imran Nazir in the playing eleven this afternoon leaving everyone surprised as Nazir has not been in the best of form in recent months.
But Pakistan manager Haroon Rasheed said that Farhat twisted his ankle and would require rest for four to seven days to make a complete recovery.
“It is difficult to say for certain about such injuries but we will know the exact position in next 24 hours and whether he would be fit for the game against India on Sunday,” he said.
But Haroon ruled out calling a replacement for the left-handed Farhat who has been a regular feature of the team since last October and played some fine innings.
Haroon said that Pakistan would stick to its 14-member squad in the Asia Cup. “We can’t ask for a replacement because it is too late,” he added. Farhat twisted his left ankle during fielding practice allowing Nazir a chance to find a permanent spot in the team but the opener failed again playing a poor shot and coach Bob Woolmer said it appeared as if he had given catching practice to the fielders.
When Imran Nazir got out early, Younis Khan should have been brought in to play instead of Shoaib Malik and Hameed and Younis Khan could have taken singles without as much pressure being on them as was when Shoaib Malik, Inzi and Youhana got out one by one. That match was very dissappointing and very depressing. As usual seeing a world class team fail like that regularly is crazy and on such a good pitch is even more crazy.
Anyway, if Pakistan collapses against India then we might as well not play the match. But if Hameed, Nazir, Inzi, Youhana, Younis can put up 200 by 40 overs then we will win easy. India's bowling is weak as usual, Bangladesh can put up 170 runs we should hit 300 easily. Thats offcourse if we dont' collapse.
Sri Lanka is almost guaranteed a spot in the finals. We will have to whoop Bangladesh and offcourse win against India to have a shot at finals.
ahhhhh cometh the indians on sunday hmmm heart as always says PAKISTAN but considering the way we batted against sri lanka and how our team has weakened over the last 2 years considerably.... we r in for it :) ] i miss u was',waq', saeed, saqi',
hahahhahaha still on it ??? ![]()
You’re asking too much to a team in which only Inzi has some temprament to stay at the wicket. Younis Khan has pschological problems on early order. He needed the HK and BD games to be set on No. 3. Its too late to do these kinds of suicidal experiments against SL and India.
Indian bowling is weak
that was the slogan before March as well for us who knew India is No. 2 team in the world and has a steal like batting lineup, but still we were living in fools’ paradise and chanting that India’s bowling is weak. The very same weak bowling thrashed us into pieces not so long ago, if you recall!!!..ummm rings the bell???
The thing is with Shoaib in off colors these days and Sami being average, we might not be able to put up a much needed pressure on Sehwag and Tendi. We all know Indian vulnerablity, if you get these two guys our in first 10 overs, then one end will fall like anything…while Mr. Wall keeps the other. I doubt we can penetrate with not so confident opening bowling pair. Shabbir is also struggling with his new bowling action. Razzler…huh…forget about him. Farhat is out, its a bad news for us as he is a good utility bowler for break through incase the pitch is seized by Wall and his companions.
^ Shoaib and Sami are in good form in this tournament so far. I would like to hope that they perform against Sachin and Sehwag and dont give match away in first 15 overs. Because Eitherhtey both will dismiss either Sachin or Sehwag or they will beat the day lights out of them. I dont see any other situation happenning.

Great News - Zaheer Khan passes fitness test, will play against Pakistan
This is good news for Pakistan. Let's kick his butt.
^ LOL, true but if only we can get past Pathan first ![]()
Seems like no one on the team (did someone say Youhana?) knows how to play swing bowling.
Smooth guy,
No man Indian bowling is weak no matter how you look at it. Everyone knows that. Sri Lanka put up 280, Bangladesh put up 177 while looking weak all throughout their batting. During our series against them our Team A put up 330 runs, we didn't live in any "pipe dream" when we played India. Out of 6 matches our teams faced India we scored 290 runs 5 times(including Team A). I don't know but our bowling was more disciplined our team situation could be different. But that doesn't really matter anymore.
Still if Pakistan lineup doesn't collapse we will score 300+ and we will win the match.
Let's see if Shoaib and Sami can keep Sehwag in check, i.e. don't feed him wide deliveries. As for our batting well there's not really a lot to say...they are so $hit probably we might have to revert to Miandad's tactics of crawling defensively in the first 40 overs and hoping the late order batsmen can bail us out with a quickfire 50 in the last few.
Yes its pretty bad when you depend on the Razzaqs and Maliks to “boost” your total through some miracle hitting in the last 10 overs. But even then, even if we get 300+, it’s not close to enough if Akhtar and Sami continue with their short, wide outside off OR full on leg stump style bowling.
Only God can save us now. ![]()
