Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Its a well made movie, but a lil too long. The dvd I got from the store was actually a pretty phenomenal print. So the movie is really well made as mentioned before but 2 songs stand out like no other
Khwaja - Khwaja and Jashn-e-Bahara Beautiful
Dont really mind the movie since I only paid 2 bux for the dvd

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

movie was good but the only downfall was the clothes jodha wore in the movie.
why was she wearing such skimpy clothes..rajput women dont wear such skimpy clothes.

and whenever they showed her...she is mostly praying or in the prayer room..while not once did they show akbar praying.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

I watched it today and it was a good movie...well made and great entertainment. One of those movies that you need to watch on big screen to appreciate.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

teelobhain, you must understand Its like with the hollywood movies. 80% fiction and 20% such. I had expected more of It. And especially more of reality embedded, but It was all fiction.

How did you come up with the figure 3? As far as I know he had at least 50! Some even say 5000!
Therefore this Jodhaa Akbar story was more of a fiction than anything else. To project how kind his hindu wife was and how evil the rest of the mughals were. Besides Akbar himself.
Pretty naive to play around with such thoughts. Its all marketing & brain washing especially when mainly people watch the movie, who have no idea of who Akbar actually was.

Bollywood is becoming more and more Hollywood. Propaganda at Its best!

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar’s - Jodhaa Akbar

its just ok. long and boring

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

I remember once some white repoerter asked Ashwariya why bollywood movies are so different from Hollywood...i guess the Bollywood people have taken that so seriously hence following Hollywoods path. still hollywood still has documentaries of such historical stories, while Indians especially hindu movie makers only show their sides to be so over the top good and pious and innocent and show the other side especially muslims as idiots, terrorists...These people shouldnt be making films on such issues unless they decide to be un bais! they showed the hindu princess as a very religious girl, i say she was a player who played her cards so cleverly! she just did good for her own people and married the guy to play with him! and i wouldn't take my words back!!

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar’s - Jodhaa Akbar

i loved the movie- hrithik totally rocked as akbar. aish was blah. i didn’t like her outfits- was expecting them to be lavish but most of them just looked the same. i only liked the romantic songs and the one where they pay a tribute to him. i am still in awe of the sword fighting scene.. that was way too good..

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Name three movies were muslims are shown as idiots

Movies are a market driven commodities, if Indian Public want to see realistic movies the producer's will have to produce such films to make profit.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

eww people still watch hindu movies?

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Realistic movies my foot! come out of your lala land...Indian movies aren't realistic or even near to it from any angle.
And what are you talking about aren't all movies spreading hatered towards muslims? aren't they showing muslims as terrorists, racists in every other movie or do you watch movies with your eyes and ears closed?

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Every thug, criminal or killer has a muslim name in BOllywood movies. Isnt that enough?

Exactly! Utilize the means of communication to propagate crap. Any person who has had no read on Akbar would believe he had only one wife and this one was the most beloved. Although "Jodha" was never asked much since he had another 2 hindu princess in his haram.
Another fiction that he had great relations with hindus. More over he was friend with them all his years, but fact Is he has had 1000 of hindus murdered like any other Mughal.

Nevertheless, I expect at least a "please note:" that this movie is fiction. Which I failed to see in first place.

jodha akbar

please merge if there is another thread already.

hrithik is such a blunt dialouge deliverer whatever the word maybe…

speaks so fast and didn’t speak like a Mughal King would speak.. no class in the way he walks.. and sits and all..

didn’t do justice to the role .. i wish this role was given to Abhishek who is the classy one and can look like a king with his thick beard..

:hinna:

Aish looked ok ..

Hrithik basically killed the movie :vivo:

Re: jodha akbar

although i have not seen the movie, but i heard the same reviews...that hrithik was not able to do justice to the role of a mughal king....

Re: jodha akbar

Although I dont think Hritik was best option for the movie, I still believe him to be a star performaner and he has all the talent for becoming a great actor. I think he has more skills and abilities than SRK or Akshai Kumar.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

what is hindu movies??

people who believe in something called hindu movies should post only in cafe and religion forums.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Movies like Sarkar are hindu movies...Displaying racist crooks and criminals as humble and gentle persons.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

i think you are reading too much about religious cars, buildings , toilets and stuff...

directors are free to show anything as long as they follow cencor boards guidelines..
freedom of speech that is...

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

^I wonder why movies like Parzania then flop on the Indian market and are not even been released at Indian Cinemas? Tab aap ki freedom of speech kaha gayi?

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

Hritik was awesome, he did justice to his role. His facial expressions were very professional.

Ash was just okay, Im bored with watching her in the same roles over and over again, she is not versatile. She carries the same facial expressions whether she is playing Nandini in HDCS or Paro in Devdas or Jodha

I like watching Madhuri, she has so much to offer.

I think she got the role cause she is fairer and has colored eyes.

otherwise I can think of atleast one other person who could have made the role worth watching.

Clothes were Blah so was the jewellery.

Re: Ashutosh Gowarikar's - Jodhaa Akbar

hrithik was soooo freakin hot!!!! loved the scene where his bari ammi was talking to him and he was staring at ash coming out of her room....awww...made me melt!
