Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

And followd by a 4.

Pieterson reashes 150

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

My Giles is supporting Pieterson...already a 97 runs partnership... :)

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Pietersen hit most sixes against Aus (7 sixes).

Like batting team can declare any time in a Test match, the bowling team must be allowed a refusal to continue, or just quit the match as losers.

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

pietersen should go for 200 before the start of mandatory overs. I have a feeling that they won't continue the match at the start of mandantory overs.

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

**Ball, game, match and the series to England. What is happening now is immaterial. Great to see the Aussies stuffed. Well played England. ** :hula:

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Bowled him. McGrath bowled Pieterson.

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Hmmmmmm...too late for Australia though...

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Pietersen gone.

Eng still batting. The required run rate was more than 10, if they have declared when Pietersen left.

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

Mandatory overs have already been decided in the morning...8 more overs...

Re: Ashes 5th Test- Oval

mandatory overs are the last 20 overs in a tests match. If there is a possibility of a result than umpires will consult and will decide to continue. If no result is possible and a draw is inevitable than in that case the umpire will consult with captains at the begining of 20 overs and will opt for ending the game.
