wat a match...Eng win by 2 runs...and what a fight from the Aussie tail...no one thought they even had a chance of getting close...but in the end they only lost by 2 runs...wat a game!

It wasnt over until the very end. What an effort by lee and kasper. A team's true fighting spirit can be seen when tail enders play like that. A perfect result of a perfect match.

Ashes history was repeated today. 23 years ago England clinched a famous thriller by beating aussies by 3 runs at MCG. Australia almost won the match with a final wicket stand of 70 runs between border and thompson. Thompson finally was dismiised in the slips of the bowling of botham and england won by 3 runs.

while Kasprowicz managed 20.
England were saved by Flintoff and Pieterson. Treschothic and Straus are 2 other players that Inzy should keep an eye on.
I hope in next game Aus and Eng will have some good players included. It is not good to rely on players who are constantly failing to perform.
A test match without a SINGLE CENTURY and we are watching the top teams in cricket. (This is definitely Test Cricket and Symonds don’t qualify)

One of absolute classic test matches one can ever hope to see. I jumped out of my seat when Geriant Jones pulled off that spectacular catch under tremendous pressure!
England were the better team througout the match and they deservedly won it but not without heroic effort from Lee and Kasper.
This ashes series is living upto its billing for sure, maybe more.!!!

Dude, do you have ANY idea about test cricket? These are the same players (minus McGrath who won aussies the prev match and if they do that again, you will be throwing away comments like ‘Great players can perform at their will’. Get a grip on reality, Symonds will NOT be playing an Ashes test this summer so get over it and start talking intelligently so that you can make some sense.

Yes, Great players can perform any time. If they fail to perform in a single game or a few games, then they must not be blamed.
But if they are failing on regular bases then they must be provided some rest until they get back their form and prove fitness. Symonds is a great player too. He recently won one days for Australia, and only he made the difference.
As for the series it is a Draw or England. Aus neither have the balls nor Symonds to help them.
