I have a friend who used him, he's amazing, yes, but personally i think its waste of money to spend so much money on mendhi... I think he charged almost a thousand squid for the bride's mendhi..

^ yh exactly, my cousin had him aswell for her wedding and she payed like £1500 but he did mehndi on 6 ppl along with the bride

His magazine deisgns are very nice, and yes he is super fast! But i have to say, its not worth the money, a friend of mine had the mendhi done, and put it this way…it was not very good. and this isnt because iam the greatest henna artist, but still it was very rushed…was bad… i think there are many more talented people out there who provide henna for less amount and give more value and design to ones mendhi…

Ash Kumar is amazing. But i got my henna artist to copy one of his designs and she did it really well. Came out lovely and i didnt have to pay over a grand for it either.
Purplerose ur websites great. Have u advertised in the recent Asiana weedding magazine? Im sure ive seen ur ad in there.:)

1000 just for henna?? wow. i can only imagine what the rest of the budget must have looked like!

im paying 120 to my lady here and her designs look very similar to his. yay for me! lol

purplerose- your work is great! its so nice and bareek and detailed.

No i havent advertised inthe asiana magazines, i wish i had. I am actually passing my business over to someone, who does excellent mendhi too, so hope she will be able to advertise in asiana!

u r right he is way expensive- its just a NAME of Ash Kumar and see he is earning hell lot of money coz of his name but he did good mehndi for my cousin

yeah, i wuld only pay dat kind of money if his work was something out of d ordinary - but if its more or less same as other local artists - i wuldnt waste my money - at d end of d day its only mehndi....i think its far more important to spend more on outfit, beautician and venue/catering arrangements...

I just had a look at his website, and he charges 250 for a basic package, that's mehnga but not as mehnga as i thought... a friend of mine used him for her wedding and the mendhi was really amazing - even the boys of the family were like wow your mendhi is really nice.. but she definitely paid him near 1000.. i don't get why his website makes him look a lot cheaper than he actually is??

PURPLEROSE: your mehndi is amazing, i bet u are one of these arty farty people who have a natural knack for art and drawing! it seems you need to be naturally artisitic to be a good mehndi artist and a skill hard to learn!

Your designs in particular seem modern and clean and it's just the kind i will be going for on my big day! style is a personal preference, i personally would go for yours over mr kumars!!!

Many thanks for your comments. i would hate to say anythign bad about another artist, i think ask kumar is good but expenisive forwhat he does when its simpl and fast. minal shah she has very nice deisgns too, preferbly i like her stuff the most.

i went to fantasies in MM Alam road, many i was shocked at the price, ok so its only 5000 rupees..and yeh i guess i can afford it but still....i dunno how people in pk-lah can afford it....im gonna have to do my own mendhi now....which means right hand i would cover by panjala ....

I went to college with him some years back… we were good freinds. Even back then he was excellent at Mehndi. He has gone really far..and well done to him. I suppose he’s built such big name for himself that he can charge that much.
But yes it is rather alot to be charging £1500 for mehndi..:snooty:not even I would pay that much and I’m a princess!! :hehe:

definately, credit goes where credit is due, he has definately gone very far in very short space of time. and he is young, which is amazing.

I would say it's taken him about 7 years to get to where he is, but there are so many people doing Mehndi now...so I suppose big up to him for starting the trend..I don't think anyone can be as good as him though..he honestly does have a natural flare.

me & my friends were always running late for lectures at college and he would always manage to do our mehndi perfectly under a minute..He is so quick..

He has done my mehndi a couple of times, but not for an occassion, just for fun.
