I don’t know why everyone expected the wedding to be larger than life? They look happy and that’s all that matters. Though I think the jewellery is a bit much, but that’s their culture and this is NOT a bollywood movie with glam shlam, so they look realistic. I do not think she looks tacky. Remember how simple Kajols wedding was? Wasn’t movie-like at all.

I really don’t think that is their wedding photo–looks like a photoshop job, or maybe from a film or something. She’s been pretty sober and serious in all of her real wedding photos (I’m surprised she went the “traditional, sad looking bride” route)–I doubt she’d stand there with her mouth open like that.

Can someone explain what some Indian/Hindu wedding rituals/customs/days are? I know we have mayyoun, mehndi, nikah, rukhsati, valima, etc but I know Hindu weddings are different..it'd be nice to get an idea :)

well i can kind of understand them not inviting salman cuz it wud have been awkard for not only the bride but salman 2...but the fact that ash has problems with many other stars 2 make me wonder if bachans r gonna ignore them all?!? srk-big b definately have had a fite so thats ok....but y didnt they invite rani...i m sure now that there was sumthin goin on between abhi n rani but things didnt work so now they r avoiding each other?!?...

I think Ash looks quite nice....Personally for me way too much jewellery for my liking but she stuck to her traditional roots and went for the whole South Indian look. She looks sweet in her Mehndi pic.
I think Kajol looks lovely and so does Preity Zinta.

Amitabh Bhachan is pathetic and incompetent. He did not invite SRK, Aamir Khan, and obviously Salman. As a matter of fact, he didn't invite a single Muslim guest. I wonder why? Because he got Bal Thackeray at the wedding and he hates Muslims. But putting all that aside, I only heard that Amit and SRK had a cold war going, but Amit proved how low he can stoop by not inviting him! I never liked Amitabh and this gives me more reason to dislike him...

Amitabh bachan is not pathetic and incompetent... there are too many people to invite.. Do you think that srk is the only one that doesn't had that invitation... There are also many hindoe people that didn't got an invitation... I know why you don't like him.. But he is a decent man. He gave respect for the indian people (hindoe) in other countries.. Today my daddi is alive because of the bachanfoundation...
