I'll have to look for a pic that's up close. It was really simple, just gold plated with red beads but a nice design nonetheless. And I'm sorry, I don't remember what store I got it from, just that it was on Devon. And I don't know of many trusted online sites that I would buy sets from either.

I f any one wants to buy artificail jewelry( silver in gold plating) in karachi go to Ali sons in Tariq Centre at Tariq Road. They never turn black of course you have to take care of them.You can expect to pay some where around 15k for the whole set. Also check out ww w.sonoor.com for ideas. Never bought from them but they have some beautiful designs

Shay also check the bridal collection at Bombayfashions.com. Some of them look very pretty and even not too bad a quality.

My cousins have bought lost of sets from Tariq Cente. They are awesome! Last time I went (few years ago) tehy ranged from Rs 3000 to Rs 40,000.My aunt who went to Karachi a few months ago, said she saw a bridal set fro Rs 70,000!!!

there's a very nice costume jewelry shop at Devon ave which sells gold plated bridal sets in the price range of $100-300...I can't remember the name but you can't miss if you're driving on main devon desi area...

Shay why don't u get a choker with emeralds (since u're a fan =) and matching earrings to go with it..and keep the tikka/jhoomar artificial...I blv that's more sensible since u can wear the choker n earring's while u won't be wearing the tikka n jhoomar often.

shay i agree with chanda kh and gina:):) you should get a real set for your wedding day, but something on the small scale--big does not always mean better. Ive seen so many brides here wearing delicate necklaces, small earrings and their overall look is just ELEGANCE:):) hmmm a small real set will be precious and can serve as a family heirloom:):)

jamawaar with a dull gold print......ahhhh karma uses this material a lot...actually they stopped making plain jamawaar.....:)

It may be jamavar or kundan zari. Kundan zari is very similar to jamavar except it's richer. I saw a girl wearing Kundan Zari and compared it to chiffon jamavar and you could tell that the gold thread used in Kundan Zari is better quality. And of course it's more expensive too!
