Now how hard was that to tell :rolleyes:. AQ yaar, sab se pehle to meri parchiyaN unn tak pohnchao. After that, I wanna say that Art is not limited to Drawing or Painting. There is much more to Art than these two. This is why, a separate forum would be better. There are many sides of Art. This forum will not only be for those that are Artists themselves but also those who appreciate it and want to learn more :jhanda:

how about you guys starting posting your relevant discussions about art and the things that it deals with in the arts and culture forum. if there are enough (productive) discussions about it there, then the admin will see a need for a separate one.

heck that’s how we were able to split life 1 and 2 into life 1, 2, 3 and 4 with a separate section for wedding :phati:

look all this flooding in the feedback forum clearly isn’t getting you guys anywhere. all you guys will achieve is an increase in your post count. what i was telling you is what i saw happen in GS just a few months previously.

as for being a disbeliever if there is a relevant discussion about it i do participate in it, as i have recently done in a thread about frida kahlo :slight_smile:

that would be freaking awesome :k: . we already have like tons of subsections for fazool stuff, why not have something useful? give a chance to these talented people to show their true selves. i think it would be a wonderful idea and our true artistes can share their brilliant pieces of work :jano:

Inserting the words "Arts" *with Culture and Literature will not necessarily make it *"Art Forum"

Like I said, Art is not something consisting of 1-2 things that you can insert in with another forum. It cover variety of things, hence, I feel it should be separate. That forum (Culture, Literature) should be left as it is except Art should be split so that other's can post/view/learn in a better way rather than having to scrol pages of threads about Holidays and what not to see whether a thread about Art is posted or not. Why not just combine all the Image forums into one? Why have a separate one for Politics and separate one for Personal things? They're all images aren't they

look as things stand at this moment there is nothing in there to split it to make a separate forum. like i said before if you start discussing ways to hone your photoshop skills, what's better monet or manet, does a quilt qualify as high-art or not, etc, and you start to have a good healthy discussion going on there, then anyone would clearly see that there is a proper need to have a separate forum for arts.

and i am not saying a paintbrush is the only form of art tools. nowhere have i said that. art is what you define it as. heck even a youtube video can qualify as art. i'm talking about what really qualifies it as a need. and right now it's a want not a need IMO

ok so let’s discuss this right now. what makes high art and what makes low art? who’s to define it? is a purse made by a maasi for 1000 rupay low art and a purse made by armani is high art? is the same armani purse mass production, or is a knockoff of it made in china considered mass production? what if armani decides to copy a design by ancient egyptians. is that now considered contemporary now?
