had we? who is we? we have a government full of cowards and crooks. who is this we that could help the tribals become civilised? our country representatives have been nawaz sharif, benazir, musharaf, zardari - do you call them civilised? is this your definition of civilisation?
how can we expect the tribal areas to have a multi-level moder counrt system, modern infrastructure, when the more progressive, educated, liberal, advanced areas lack it?
the tribals ae no different to anyone else in the country - the only difference is they have a different way of breaking laws.
you talk as if the tribals r islamists are the only problem in pakistan. prior to the 1990’s they did not really exist but the problems pakistan as a country has faced has always existed ie poverty, corruption, lack of accountability, misuse of public funds.
