Re: Army foils democracy for own ‘needs’: ex-ISI Chief
Bhai, you need to live in Pakistan unde this govt, before you can make statements like above. You have no idea how much dirt this govt is doing, just as bad, and sometimes even worse then its predecessor.
Re: Army foils democracy for own 'needs': ex-ISI Chief
The military not matter how corrupt keeps the country instead of selling it off in the name of democracy. When we have a civilian government capable of bringing about positive change and control then your arguments will have some weight. Yes, military personnel are not subject to accountability As civilians are however show me where do the civilian figures in Pakistan get accountability. If you had ever lived in Pakistan or Karachi for that matter you would understand that our Qom only understands dunda, and that it why military rule keeps finding its way back in politics.
bhai sahib, look at India, Bengladesh.... how many times military took over? are Indians/BDs people innocent/angel/corruption free? Do you not think their governments are in all sorts of corruptions as well? Its a sad justification to say that our people only understand danda.
Re: Army foils democracy for own 'needs': ex-ISI Chief
some people are complexed with no self confidence and believe that only military can rule them, please don't impose your short comings and complexities on others,
Indian democracy was worse than ours till mid 80s and since there was no interventions from military it matured, you need to give it some time instead of jumping in and then doing exactly the same corruption.
How many from military governments have gone in exile or put in jail compared to the politcian. I am not supporting corrupt politician but the system of democracy which if given the chance will flourish
People like jatoi and khar had lost elections from their own contituencies when people were given a chance to vote so for those who think that pakistani people are not prepared for democracy it is just an eyewash
