If there is so much corruption as you said, do you think army officials have not taken their share of loot???? Army should be professional and honest answerable to civilian government only, not vice versa. Since 1947, except 5 years of ZAB, army has always called the shots. Ultimately they even did not spare their benefactor ZAB who was a very honest PM in the history of Pakistan.
Thats not the answer to the point I had raised. Reply to the particular corruption by our beloved politician. Yes accountability should be across the board and not muq muqa by meeting secretly in London under the guise of medical treatment.

great decision by the army chief. although it sums up the status of our society. what COAS just did is nothing but some procedural stuff in a normal society but it became such a huge news because we simply dont have similar traditions.

it is also very sad and disturbing that all the dismissed officers have reportedly served with the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and were charged for corruption during their service with the paramilitary force. The others dismissed were junior commission officers in FC who worked with the senior ones....
so 30k poor soldiers are fighting and sacrificing their lives in Baluchistan and their officers are busy doing corruption in partnership with smugglers and criminals...la howla wala qaowata billah
very disappointing. it cant be one off event. it has to be more than that. army needs to keep an eye on such elements.

You know I am staunch opponent of corruption and looting of poor country's wealth. I have never supported Zardari's corruption if there is any. But he went through all legal systems of Pakistan and exonerated all corruption cases. Why? Because of people who have absolute power are corrupt. If I am corrupt morally I have no right take up corrupt people working under me. This is the message I am trying to convey here.

Y not select top 3 from each major party in the parliament e.g pmln . Ppp pti mqm jui f and check all their assets rigorously. How much they had 10 years ago. How much they have now. How they got it.

There is a greek folk tale, in ancient times, in a village of Greece, a debate was going on for several days on how many teeths are there in horse's mouth, the debate went on and on with every party putting their input but fails to develop consensus...it was close that swords shall be drawn and heads will role...seeing this, one from the villager said why don't we count the teeth of horse and get the issue sorted out...hearing this the villagers turned against him and killed the guy...
Similarly, what you have said is solution and who want solution here, they want chaos.. One way or other as it suits them more than the solution...so yeah what you said can be step towards curbing corruption..that is if that is the desire...

This step by Raheel Sharif seems to have put tremendous pressure on the royal family of Pakistan.
But their history shows that they are pretty 'dheet' people.
They can only be forced out. Otherwise they will never let go of the government.
Last army general tried to do just that. He tried to save Pakistan from the two corrupt political families. But then people of Pakistan kicked him out for daring to save them from these thieves.
Anyway, great step by the General. Time and again he has saved Pakistan's butt several times.

IK can push for this as making commission is a trap.. Raheel shareef can push for it. Chief justice can push for it. But u r rite that the royals of major parties will not go for it at all.

How long do you think it will take to prove their illegal assets?
Why just 3 from all major parties? Why not 15? Why not all?
When there is a problem somewhere then the purge should start from the top. Not from the middle or bottom. Because it is the very top that had the ultimate responsibility.
In this case, it is PM's office which is at the top. So the investigation should start from there. Not from Sheeda Halwai's mithai shop.

Top 3 will take less time and if found guilty may extent to further down..

Why not finish this sequence. Atleast I agree with IK for this point. If IK is ZAANI let him be ( he him slef is accepting all of it ) . What is the relation of him being Zaani and investigation against NS.
Army is in my opinion 2nd most corrupt institution in PK . but Once this Raheel guy has started something good for the first time in history of PK( which hopefully open eyes of all army supporters ) let it continue or it is clear that ISS HAMMAM main sub nangee hain..

If postings from this guy are any indicator of the mood in pmln, it looks like Raheel Sharif has put them under severe pressure. So much do that they are now openly abusing the army.
