He has to prolong his tenure - he has no other choice. I would do the same thing. What’s the alternative? Handing things over to BB? She’s already said she’d allow the US military in to handle this - and that’s going to create another Iraq. Do you want Abu Gharaib prisons being constructed in NWFP?
Nawaz sharif, BB, MMA, PML, the army, the judiciary, everyone is corrupt, and everyone has allowed this to happen. The reporters were on this a while back and they saw these developments happening, and not even your civilians were doing much to stop it. Where were the protests? Where was the medical community trying to push for polio vaccines? Where were the do-gooder NGO’s for the past few decades when these regions have been allowed to disintegrate into jahaaliyat with minimal education for the villagers? Some of these villages don’t even have basic electricity TO THIS DAY.
This situation is out of control. If he steps down, its all going to get much worse.
There are definitly problems - why the military and civil servants running from their posts with their skirts high in these areas, I dont understand. I’m sure they have orders to stay their ground, but maybe the militants are too well armed.
The fact that they just took a friggin paramilitary post.
