Areas are breaking away?

The taleban rule there is only increasing, and they are removing pakistani flags. This is unacceptable. But it seems out FC is not willing to fight, and army is not sent in.

There is no stopping this break away of northern provinces, isnt it?

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

no

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

their grand success would be taking over whole pakistan.

Mind you they want to fix pakistan not take a piece and make a new country.

So if they become successful get you rears ready for some serious whipping.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

I cant see them going on forever without resistance. sooner or later regular forces will have to be deployed to stop there march. i would hope sooner. they wont fix pakistan, but ruin it (even more). they will talebanize the nation.

doesnt removal of the national flag enrage you?

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

**Get rid of FC and send in regular army

(Pakistan fails to aim billions in U.S. military aid at Al Qaeda)**

The Frontier Corps battling the militants is outgunned and poorly trained, officials say. Funding instead goes to equipment more suited for conventional warfare with India.

WASHINGTON — Despite billions of dollars in U.S. military payments to Pakistan over the last six years, the paramilitary force leading the pursuit of Al Qaeda militants remains underfunded, poorly trained and overwhelmingly outgunned, U.S. military and intelligence officials said.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

not gonna happen, people of Pakistan will not let rabid maullahs take over.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Northern Areas breaking away...utter crap! People are more loyal to Pakistan than you think they are. Their disenchantment breads from lack of democracy, the inability which they feel in expressing themselves. Emergency will only strengthen their grievances.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Thank you. Not every day I find some who actually know whats going on in pakistan.
Thanks again.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Emergency is only temporary, there are only two possible outcomes here, either emergency ends in the next couple of months or musharraf is ousted and then emergency ends. there is no other way in my view.

and as far as breakaway, extremist groups have tried for years, whether its BLA, jiye sindh, MQM, the pkahtoonistan champions, etc but they are a minority,a nd even during democratic set ups they were up to their actions, as you will see that several democratically elected leaders tooka ction against such groups in past.

now grievances aside, people simply are not willing to become another afghanistan. taleban may convince and hoodwink ppl in FATA, but could the convince ppl in lahore, pindi, islamabad, karachi, hyderbabad, faisalabad, sialkot, quetta to give up all they have and go back in time?

not going to happen.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Dude! if any thing, you should be scared of people of pakistan supporting them over mush.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

not going to happen.
the emergency ..either musharraf himself will end it within a few months or he will be ousted and it will be ended by someone else.
elections will be held, oh and the butt whoopin handed to these taleban 2.0s will only increase.
mark my words

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Sure. We all want peace in our country.
Just like ppl of northern areas.
Who ever bring justice ,would be every one hero. Its not very complicated.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

you call taleban bringers of justice?

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

no i said "who" it could be you.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

:D

thanks for the vote of confidence.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

I don't think the northern areas are lost to pakistan.......yet. Its close though. Mishandling if it continues as in past and present will ensure dismemberment for sure.

Pakistan has to make some deals with US and India real soon, which will involve some major cutailment of current Pakistani (public) position if such breakup is to be prevented..

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

First of all they're not rabbid, and secondly they're not all bad people. Most are just disheartened and discontent with the situation and their under-appreciation. The few trouble makers are ironically the ones that are well off, and have or have had some sorta link with the establishment in the past.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Talibanic disease is a serious one and a dangerous issue.

So far we have trouble in Wazirastan and Malkand. Luckily Wazirastani Mullahs got the Eid gift delivered via F-16 and now they are quite and happy.

Right now the main issue is limited to Malakand. This is agency is in trouble since 1980s (much longer than Wazirastani issue).

I feel confident that Mullahs there will be defeated in the next year or two.

CC!

You didn't provide a link so I am not sure what other areas you wanted to talk about!

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.

Re: Northern Areas are breaking away.
