Arshad, I dont believe in this.
A body builder will have way more weight than the ideal listed above, since muscles are heavier than body fat/water and therefore any body builder and even sportman has to cross the ideal weight.
My friend is 5 11 and has 185. He has a strong build and goes to the gym every day. And yet he is not an athlete or body builder. Does this mean he is over weight? No.
If you are doing sports or exercise regularly then you can be above these weights and still not be overweight.
I posted that generally for people that don't exercise, who think that they are overweight and want to lose weight through dieting only, but in reality may not be overweight.
those charts we use see in pakistan, Then we got access where they have 3 entries against every height "small frame" "medium frame" and "large frame"
Figures from first post only presents small frame ppl.
Weight shamait SMI shemi ... all that matter is can you walk up the stairs without huffing and puffing? Can you run to the terminal with your carry-on and not feel like having a heart attack? Do you play with your kids outside and do not come home tired? If you answered yes, your weight doesn't really mean anything.
If you are say 5'8 then the healthy range is between 125-158. So you are still healthy. I have just stated the upper limit of being healthy. If you are about 5 pounds above those figures then you are overweight. Unless you are into sports and regular training. As you get older I am sure that you will add some weight CP!
BMI is relative. It fails to imply the percentage of the amount of fat stored in a human body, however, and only accepts basic variables such as height and weight. One of the ways to determine fat and to separate it from the percentage of lean muscle is by plugging in a skinfold calliper in conjunction with your weight to determine your proper body fat percentage.
It is true that overweightness and obesity is one of the basic cause of all the basic disease and Pakistan is the lucky country which does not have fat people because it most of population is suffering from malnutrition.
