Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

isn't fasting obligatory on the one who is ''capable'' of fasting.......... so if someone has been advised by a doctor not to fast................ do they still have to pay the fidya?

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

Ammi, bhoot… I am too afraid to open this video. :hehe:

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

That's what you say. We have no proof. NOR DO WE WANT IT.

I am not denying your legit question. Waiting for the Irish skaalar to respond.

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

No, they use common sense and observe fasts later on in the year unless they want to die. Why else did Allah swt accommodate the qadha fasts bit for us? Waisay, does Ramadan even apply to the regions where they have not even observed the crescent and there’s no lunar month?

Jee MashaAllah.

Not sure. You’ll have to ask that in the religion forum I guess.

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

y u no tell that?? i don't like the religion forum......

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

No, they won't. Not if I have anything to say about it.
When the season turns then either it is all nights ( meaning no roza ) or their fast is 2 hours long. How is that fair ?
You don't need to answer because it might be safe to assume that there are no observing Muslims there. :)

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

And that would also mean their namaaz times would be pretty close together. Interesting! Islam Question and Answer - How to pray and fast in countries where the day or night is continuous

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

Thanks for the link. I will save it for when I am travelling there. :)

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

:hehe: And don’t forget you’ll b excused from fasting when travelling.

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

^ yup yup !! Started doing it since 2 yrs… will be doing it this year as well.:halo: My future husband is such a lucky guy !!

But it sure is a month in which I discipline my eating habits. I suffer from bad case of munchies !! Keep eating chips n stuff throughout the day. I feel bad when Shravan Mahina ends as I go back to my fizzy drinks and chips n dips !!

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

surely looking forward to it.

dont see any reason to dread it unless this was my first ramzaan and i didnot have a clue how its going to be.

the roza is gong to be 16/17hrs long but i am ok with that.

Re: Are you looking forward to Ramzaan or dreading it ?

it really depends on the circumstances....if the doctor has prescribed you a medicine which u HAVE to take during the roza time...by 'have' i mean under no circumstances you can leave your medicine. or its something else where u cannot live without food for longer and if you do then u can be in serious health condition.

as for fidya i think you will have to pay fidya by keeping those missed rozay later on (before the next ramzaan i think) or by giving money/food to poor (there is an amount on how much u are meant to give)
