Are you Liberal or Conservative Pakistani??

Hi people, I ask this question to those Pakistanis who are living in Canada/US/ and UK. Were you liberal or Conservative before you immigrated? We are fairly liberal even in Pakistan too. For instance, live and let live is my motto that i generally believe in.

kinda liberal, but when it comes to certain things.. i'd say pretty conservative.

A corrollary to this questio (is that the right term?)

Would conservative makistanis be conservative if they were in India (ie BJP, RSS) and would liberal Indians be liberal in Pakistan also (ie equality for all religions)

Well do not know much about RSS or BJP and their ideologies but you can comment on whether you are Conservative or Liberal Indian?.

somewhere in the middle. But when it comes to certain principles then there isnt a conservative or a liberal IMO

Hmmm

Personally I really dont know. I can be both fiercely conservative of my own values, but at the same time understanding and liberal as well when it comes to others. A long time ago I was blinded by hatred but gradually I have come to terms with the fact we have to live and let live...

I suppose overall I'm conservative.

I am really curious -

Those Pakistanis who are conservatove and have say immigrated to US - do they also vote conservative - ie support Limbaugh, sean hannity et al
and if immigrated to UK, support that conservative party there

To me that is the litmus test - are you consistent in your conservative views irrespective of which country you reside in.

OP - I am liberal.

And also whay you meant by "when it comes to certain principles then there isnt a conservative or a liberal" - what principles are neither conservative nor liberal
