Are you brand conscious?

Re: Are you brand conscious?

Reha, even for cosmetics or skincare some companies are better than others and i may suggest that brands may be more important for skincare than for brands of socks or shirts because depending on chemicals they are using, they can mess you up royally.

Re: Are you brand conscious?

^All guys should think like you.

Re: Are you brand conscious?

speaking from experience, i use anthony logistics products, used kiehls or zirh in past. One time I started using a random moisturizer and sunscreen that I got in one of those random gift sets and it destroyed my skin..had to stop immediately ..took weeks for it to get back to normal

Re: Are you brand conscious?

I LOVE KIEHLS.

and having used a drugstore moisturizer and foundation and seeing what they did () i know stuff is not the same quality.

Re: Are you brand conscious?

Aw, @X2 is a pretty boy!

Btw, a good sunscreen my derm recs and I swear by is EltaMD SPF 46. Do you find your skin is prone to acne or other things like dryness etc?

Re: Are you brand conscious?

i am not actually !! i spend my money wisely i always try out different companies before spending the money if i like the product i buy it i use what i ike ... for eg: i had been using lancome hypnose mascara for a very long time its good and Expensive but then bought loreal's mascara it was giving the same result so i switched to it.. y spend so much when you can easily find the dupe ... for skincare products i Always read the ingr and do a research

PS you can also read the last line at the end pf this post :)

Re: Are you brand conscious?

I agree...some are...in fact a lot might be. No doubt. But I find using something because its got a certain label is definitely not right.

Its true, in skin care and cosmetics quality matters a lot. When I see something that really costs pennies to make but is sold for a huge markup because of the packaging and label...it bothers me.

A big price tag CAN mean quality but not always. You should just be a more aware consumer.

Re: Are you brand conscious?

^ i agree with ur last line reha

Re: Are you brand conscious?

I believe in taking care of myself, but not as disciplined as I should be. Using a proper sunscreen with UV protection is a smart move in general even for non pretty boys :D

in general my skin has no real skin issues, except I get dark circles very easily, a few late nights, a little allergies and it just does a number, but using crap products gives me breakouts, nothing massive but because I dont have any issues usually, what others may consider minor still is a big deal.

Re: Are you brand conscious?

no, some times a good branded item doesn't suits us,...
