Re: Are women overprotective?
we are living in a world where parents have no choice but to be overprotective of their kids. If only u knew how many pedophiles where living in your neighborhood AND in YOUR very own family...you'd be protective 2.

Re: Are women overprotective?
but i dont think he is calling that being overprotective (i sure hope not) thats just being careful.
i cant stand when i see parents who let go of their childs hand when crossing the road....pisses me off.
perhaps he just means overprotective to the point of being paranoid.....
yea i will be paranoid...and i dont see a darn thing wrong with it.
Re: Are women overprotective?
I can't think of any examples. A spanish gentleman based in London, told me that in the flat that he was renting out..there was a problem with the lights in the kitchen and and it took a little while to fix and the guy who was renting sent his wife and young toddler to Holland for a week while it was being fixed.
He said that he had kids...everyone has kids...there are a lot of kids born in India and China..however you don't really find them as over-protective as the "new trendy generation" of western women.
Re: Are women overprotective?
ok yea now thats being overprotective....to the extreme

Re: Are women overprotective?
ok yeah I think thats a bit over-doing it, without knowing the rest of the details but then again, its a GUY in this story, not a gal. Isnt this thread about how women are more overprotective?
Re: Are women overprotective?
Well they are both over-protective. The couple were renting and they both made the decision for her to go away for a week. But the impression I got from my Spanish friend was that the woman had a greater hand in the decision and was more emotional.
Re: Are women overprotective?
My mom still holds my arm sometimes when we cross..and i’m not 5 years old ![]()
Re: Are women overprotective?
^She has gotten older.
Re: Are women overprotective?
no doubt about it.
…
Re: Are women overprotective?
i think thats soo cute
i just do. lol
Re: Are women overprotective?
Older, yes, but not so old that she cannot cross the street on her own. She just does hold my hand when we cross the street together. I'm not complaining abt it :p
Re: Are women overprotective?
i agree , and it's really funny to see desi mom's sitting at the back seat of the car with their babies/ kids even tough they're safe and secure in their infant/ toddler car seats .....................................
Re: Are women overprotective?
whats even funnier is when a mom is sitting in the back seat of the car with a child sitting in their lap!! (sarcasm)
Re: Are women overprotective?
oh and btw....my sister sometimes sits in the back seat of the car with the baby in the car seat...its not cuz she is afraid something will happen to the baby.....its just so she can soothe the baby when she is crying....
the most annoying and distracting thing is driving a car with a crying baby in the back.

Re: Are women overprotective?
I don't allow my kids to leave me when we're in Pak, because I don't approve of boys and girls cousins all sleeping in the same room, even if they are watching a movie.
You have quite un-orthodox Paki family as ur in-laws.
Boyz and girl cousins sleeping in same room!!! We do not even allow brothers and sisters to sleep in same room, beyond the age at which they start watching a movie or TV serial.

no....ive seen many non-desi's doing this as well. for the first few months....
non-desi parents even co-sleep (i think thats what its called) with their kids as well.
