I feel as if women are much more forgiving when it comes to overall attractiveness.
Like they give average/below average looking guys chances too...whereas men do not pay attention to a girl that doesnt stand out in some way.
the higher the bank balance, or a better social position ( in her eyes, mind you) the more forgiving they become.
the guy could be an A*h**, but it does not matter to them until he has left her for something better. after that she has the worse things to say about the guy.
i have seen it happen with several women. often those women who had loved those men. now they hate them the most.

Its not forgiveness, its an oversight. There are so many other $things$ to look at in men, women hardly notice their looks.

Women are more forgiving because it matters less.
An attractive woman (hips, breasts) would have had a better chance of successfully giving birth and the children would be healthier. It's not an accident men find those parts of a woman's body attractive.
Women care about looks more when they're ovulating (better genes, healthier baby) and more about other things (security, money etc) at other times which ensures the child survives.
