Are women much more forgiving when it comes to physical attractiveness?

I feel as if women are much more forgiving when it comes to overall attractiveness.

Like they give average/below average looking guys chances too…whereas men do not pay attention to a girl that doesnt stand out in some way.

I believe that men and women are equal, everyone loves in a different way and sees beauty differently, too many viewpoints to ever come to a safe conclusion.

With the likes of 'Edward Cullen', 'Paul Wesley', and 'Jacob Black' around, they are raising the bars! Because of them, one has to work extra hard at the gym to keep those abs chiseled!

Beauty is a feminine trait. I've heard some women say "I'd be uncomfortable if my man looks better than me" or "I look good enough for the both of us!"

Previous human females, through their mating patterns seem to have given little preference to male attractiveness, which leads to the present state of men.

I do know of some girls that married really ugly guys, the guys are extra grateful and never cause them any trouble.

this is unfair. us gorgeous guys are just as often grateful and no trouble either. it is just that a girl who is willing to lower her expectations even on the looks front, is willing to lower expectations on other fronts as well, and is never finding fault with her less than lovely hubbydoodlez.

Yes women usually ignore looks and settle with budhay, not so good looking guys. Guys on the other hand, don't even look at not so good looking girls. Having said that it depends on an individual. I wouldn't personally marry a guy who is too "koja". He has to be good looking. Call me shallow but if men can demand that so can I.

I think it is important that the girl and guy have that initial spark. I think its very important you fancy each other.
