the higher the bank balance, or a better social position ( in her eyes, mind you) the more forgiving they become.
the guy could be an Ah*, but it does not matter to them until he has left her for something better. after that she has the worse things to say about the guy.
i have seen it happen with several women. often those women who had loved those men. now they hate them the most.
