i was at the hospital a coupla days ago… mom went in to see the doc so i did what i usually do.. check out babies in the nursery… there was this old couple waiiting around.. thought they were grand folks lookin at their grandkid or something… but then the nurse comes out and hands over a baby to em and off they go… so im like they did they have a grandson or grand daughetr.. and the nurse goes neither.. they just had a son… i was like say wha?
how can people have kids so late on in life.. i mean so very late… its like u dont even care enuff to see ure kid all grown up, gettin married and having their own kids etc… why even bother to have a kid when u can’t enjoy them … i mean try bending and gettin up and bending again and gettin up , using al ure muscles as if they were brand new, being a 58 yr old :o how the hell are u gonna play with ure kid ?? chalo ure very very fit tho samajh mien baath athi hai.. yeh admi tho kabar mein pao latkaye baita tha…
yes but what's so right bout having a kid when ure a 65 yr old???? will u be able to handle al the mess a kid makes... then there are the afterschool actitities, clubs, takin the kid to teh doc .. help with hwetc... i mean dont u havta be loaded with energy to deal with something like a kid?i mean screw the highschool yrs (will be very lucky if u even get to see them at ure age)... just the beginning years.. i mean do parents even think such things thru before having kids at such an age?

I expect that younger people look at older parents and think 'what took you so long' while the older parents look at the younger ones and think 'why didn't you wait?'
Thing is, everyone thinks that their way is the right way. As long as you feel ready to be a parent yourself then age isn't so important
well im sure they're not kids now and know what the consequenes will be, i.e. the responsibility and all the hectic work they'll have to do
so im pretty sure they thought about all this and thought that they can do all that so prolly wanted to have a go at it..personally i don't really care it's their choice...and yes they might have other reasons too, but other than i've seen alot of people who r old and just had a kid now...no problem to me it's their choice n we're not the ones who're living their life so y fuss over it?
ok for all the ppl having doubts over the kid being their first child.. he wasn't.. was their 4th.. the youngest is 18.. they had a kid after 18 yrs.. still find it insane.. hope they can care for it like they did when they were young and had their first born...
Khawateen, you shouldn't judge other people and their decisions. What if anything do you know about those people other than the fact that they are old? What gives you the right to judge and make comments like they won't be able to play with the kid or paritcipate in their lives or see them grow up? You don't know anything about their circumstances but you seem disgusted by their decision to have a baby. Just because you wouldn't have a baby when you're older, doesn't mean everyone has the same belief.
And saadiaB, you didn't know that old people have sex? Come on, are you THAT naive? Your parents are probably still sexually active, it is a human thing to be sexual.

It was probably an "accident" baby. What would you have them do? abort it?
maybe they wanted to have a lil baby once again? maybe their kids have all grown up and got a life of their own.. and they wanted to start all over again? who cares what the reason is… if God allowed them to have a baby.. then we should just accept it:) they dont need to justify their actions… good on them.. :k:

either way.. for all u ppl saying let them be, and yay for them for havinga baby again.. they are feeling lonely.. yada yada... why not buy a kitten or something cuz ure makin a kid look like a selfish act parents did to make themselves happy... and how long is this happiness gonna be seen by the dad, a 65 yr old man who can't even walk straight?
what bout the kid's happiness? its not hard to singing to a baby or to change diapers.. but it sure as hell gets tiring when teh kid starts to walk, then goes to school and brings back hw.. and even more tiring when they have to be taken to afterschool clubs (where u cant jsut walk to a school but havta take a bus or daddy has to take u in his car)...
sometimes these kids are taken care of majorly by their maids and then by their siblings... u really think a 65 yr old man can play ball with his kid son?
my kid sis has loads of friends with mature parents and most of em count maids and their siblings as their parents cuz their real parents are way too old to do more than just talk with em or maybe take em shopping. Loads of sisters and brothers come for the swim meets, clubs etc... what kinda happpiness is this for the kid?
or what kinda happines is it for a kid to lose his folks so early on in life just cuz the kid came late in their lives?
