Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?
I know many who are into services like Ours, but stereotype is if two people are in fist fight, Punjabi would go for Sattebaazi and Sindhi will start selling Chai to the viewer and make money :)

Do you agree with Arli? ![]()
Many Pakistani think same about Imran Khan.
BTW, why did you ask the question in OP? any story behind it. Its a well known perception about Sindhis settled in India that they are business-minded, which is supported by statistics.
Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?
I myself have encountered this question many times .At college,At work place or even during my journeys.

How do you counter it?
Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?

Jokingly I would say, kindly look at my face and do I look like a cut throat business person? :D
But on serious note,I would say our community is an active community that is involved in trading and business arenas and we have established our identity in that way.Obviously we have enmities in the field and our `business enemies' are behind in such propaganda. :)
Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?
Do you show them your face? I mean without dupatta? j/k
I do agree that Sindhis settled in India didn’t burden others and they did contributed something to their new homeland :k: They are the givers and not takers.
Last week, I opened a thread about ‘no beggars in Sikhs’, I think the same can be said for Sindhis settled in India. correct?
Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?
Difference in opinion in this case and I lived in Delhi during his rule not Arli ![]()

Delhi election on 7th Feb is straight fight between BJP and his Aam Aadmi Party
Most celebrated business houses are mostly Parsi owned :)

Those who avoid taxes are beggars. Tax cheats come from various backgrounds.
As for the beggars on the streets, unless we know their individual circumstances, best not to label them as takers.

I agree with you. I was talking of general statistics.
As far as tax avoidance is concerned its legal. Tax evasion is illegal :)
Re: Are Sindhis cut throat businesswalas?
And that is my point. Just because something is not illegal doesn't mean one is not a taker. Loopholes exist in the system. Some loopholes don't pass the sniff test.
A person who doesn't pay his fair share is a taker, legal or otherwise. Probably more so than a street beggar without a roof over his head.
