A bigger point is the danger in playing the glamour / taker game - this community is warrior class, this community never takes, ergo if you aren't from this community you may not be a warrior or you may be a taker.
Happens everywhere - including US. Each individual should be judged on his contribution.
And that is my point. Just because something is not illegal doesn't mean one is not a taker. Loopholes exist in the system. Some loopholes don't pass the sniff test.
A person who doesn't pay his fair share is a taker, legal or otherwise. Probably more so than a street beggar without a roof over his head.
May be its due to the fact that tax laws are prepared by those, who can exploit the benefits arising from such laws.
Otherwise, if we see things from larger perspective, every one is taker and everyone (even a beggar) does contribute something (tangible / intangible) to the society.
