Ive heard that short kameezes are starting to come back into fashion. is this true? if so then where? pics?
i kinda hope theyre not. longer ones are much better and comfy.
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
I hope not, I like the long, loose dress fashion makes you feel elegant and regal wearing it.
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
I think they are. Just look at some of the recent TV shows and morning shows. Everyone is wearing short kameezes. I agree long ones are better, but short is nice too lol
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
They might be but I feel more comfortable in long so getting all my new lawn stitched as long kameezes
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
They are def in...girls in most of the new dramas are wearing them
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
The lawn shoots for Gul Ahmed and Sana Safinaz show shorter kameez. Not liking :(
Are short kameez's back in fashion?
Oh mannnn
I hope not. Does anyone have pics to get an idea? I can only think back to the early 2000s and that's just... Cringe. Hated those short shirts
Are short kameez's back in fashion?
Omg please tell me that's not true :(
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
errrrrrrrr hate short kameez's. I agree with polished gems. Plus it makes you feel more comfortable and gives a thinner and taller illusion.
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
For some reason, I like the style of short kameez's, and when long ones came in I was like what? Of course now I love the long ones and the shorter ones look odd, but I liked them at the time.
Re: Are short kameez’s back in fashion?
why cant pakistanis stick with one fashion, now all my kameezain are long and some suits are not even worn yet and here they come with new fashion! ![]()
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
What are these short kameezes being worn with? Trousers?
Re: Are short kameez’s back in fashion?

Re: Are short kameez’s back in fashion?
Why does fashion change so quick ![]()
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
Oooh....I like the black and white combo on the far left in the last picture. I have a fetish for black and white ...black and purple....combos and intricate paisley/floral patterns. The kameezain aren't that short, lol. I thought they would be the knee-length...or above knee length that were all the rage before being suddenly and swiftly replaced by the almost ankle length ones. And they're still loose'ish...and not figure-hugging at all.
I actually like that style!
As RV said, they're not obscenely short or unbreathably tight. That just looked trashy, Imo. This still looks elegant and decent.
Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
All lengths are in, short, medium long, alllll seem to be in. If you like short shirts go right ahead, otherwise stick with the long lengths. I am getting two medium length shirts this time, rest are all long. If I like how they look on me will get some more shorter length shirts.
Ps: with medium length shirts pants have to be tighter/fitted from what I have seen, can't wear palazos with the medium length shirts.
Re: Are short kameez’s back in fashion?
With the burqa culture and talibanization of Pakistan on the rise, I’m sure the brains of many a woman are exploding right now.
5 inches shorter and figure fitting…oh noooo…all those brownies and cookies I ate and my fat arse…how will I ever hide it…??

Re: Are short kameez's back in fashion?
^ Most women's dislike of shorter kameezes has nothing to do with "burqa culture" or "talibanisation," but rather the fact that shorter tops are difficult to pull off and are not terribly flattering on most women.
Most women, both Pakistani and non-Pakistani, are generally not keen on wearing clothing that is unflattering. I'm not sure why everything these days must be turned into a political statement.
I'm currently on holiday in Dubai and it seems that shorter tunics with trousers or palazzos seem to quite in here as well. I've seen loads of ladies wearing short fitted tunics with loose, trouser type pants. It actually looks quite nice if the tunic/kameez is a bit more fitted.
