I'm here in islamabad at the moment and at this point in time it's a case of anything goes. In fact there are more women wearing long shirts than short. I've seen a couple of young girls wearing the shorter style but most people are still wearing long. But if u look at all the lawn designs catalogues like sana safinaz and elan you'd think everyone was wearing that short style. Thankfully it isn't like that in real.

But all those pics are in casual wear which I can kind of see and even agree with it but short shirts seem odd now in formal wear. Any pictures of formal wear in shorter lengths?

^ I had a look on pinterest and most formal and semi-formal outfits are still quite long. The shortest I saw was a couple of inches above the ankle.

Seems strange to go short when you're used to long rather than the other way round imo

I got a couple lawn shirts with 3-4 inches shorter than my usual length, they are still below the knees and actually don't give the feel of short shirts, I absolutely love them with cigarette pants. If anyone had suggested this look a few months back I would not have agreed to it but after seeing several lawn brands doing shorter shirts, the look absolutely grew on me.
