I dont see the point of repeating myself again and again to satisfy your whims.
I posted a fatwa of Hadrat Ibn Abideen rahimullah and Ala Hadrat saying that those people amongst the shi'a who believed in CERTAIN things were kaafirs; if they do not believe in these things but maintain solely that Sayyedna Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib karam Allah wajhu'l kareem is better than the other khulafa ar-rashideen they are bid'atis but not kaafirs. I stand by this.
YOU are out to cause trouble that's all and we wont fall into your trap.

Anyways, the point is - you have revised what you said earlier!
Could you pls tell me who these people are who issued the Fatwas & the exclamation of bid'at; personally, I wouldn't give a hoot about any Tom, Dick or Harry issuing decress or Fatwas right & left to appease a particular group; this Fatwa business has almost become a joke!
Finally, if I question your hypocrisy, I am labelled - a 'whatever' you labelled me; yet it is considered OK and even sanctimonious for you and your other colleagues to spread
I would like you & Abdulla to come clear!

I THINK YOU HAD BETTER APOLAGIZE TO ALL US SHIAS. MY FAMILY WERE SUNNIS A FEW YEARS BACK. WE DECIDED THAT WE DON'T BELIEVE IN THE SUNNNI BELIEFS. MATE, YOU ARE WRONG WE DON'T RATE THE IMAMS AS HIGHER THAN PROPHET MUHAMMMED (PBUH) HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED THE PAIN THE FAMILY OF THE PROPHET WENT THROUGH WHEN IMAM HUSAIN FOUGHT FOR ISLAM AGAINST YAZEED. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUNNIS AND SHIAS IS THAT WE LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF ISLAM AND WE REMMEMBER THE GRIEFE THE FAMILY OF THE PROPHET WENT THROUGH. SUNNIS KNOW THE HISTORY BUT THEN THEY DON'T MOURN FOR THE FAMILY OF THE PROPHET. THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT PAKISTAN FILLS MINDS OF CHILDREN WITH PROPAGANDA AND THAT SUNNI WAY IS THE BEST WITHOUT KNOWING THE FACTS. BY THE WAY WHO ARE YOUR IMAMS. OURS ARE FROM THE FAMILY OF THE PROPHET
There are certain disbelievers and enemies of muslims who are on this forum whose sole objective is to create division and hatred between muslims.
This topic has been revived for that whole purpose. Don't be surprised if "new" members start appearing with their two cents worth. Yes there are differences between Sunnis and Shias but the fact is both derive their sources from Qur'an and Sunnah. Calling each other kafir in front of the mushriks and murtads does not further the cause of Islam. So bite your tongues and bide your time until a better day to discuss these differences. Issues of today are more important than what went on centuries ago. That is simple common sense.

Well Well Well, I see that inspite of being told many times the people here don't take pains to give the referance of whatever they put forward as an allegation. I'll firstly answer cool dudes allegations on Ahmadis.
First of all verses partaining to Jihad had not been abrogated rather in contrast to varios sunni ulema we believe that no verse of Quran can ever be abrogated.
The second allegation is also as baseless as the first one. The second coming of Prophet Mohammed S.A.W is prophecised in Quran in Surah Al Juma'a.
Our kalima is same as that of the other muslims. I don't know how in the world Cool dude know that Mohammed in our kalima refers to Mirza Sahib.
Well obedience of the English government may be part of Cool's belief we believe in obedience to government be it english or Muslim. And that too not as the PILLER OF ISLAM.
I requested earlier that you pls provide background information on the Ulema Hadrat Ibn Abideen rahimullah and Ala Hadrat, that you quoted as author of the Fatwa.
If you have copy of the Fatwa then pls also make it available as a URL or direct post.
Iqadeer, Brother - could you pls see that this info is provided. Let's see who these Ulemas are!
For those who believe that ignoring the subject will make it go away are really deluding themselves. There are ignorant Ulemas out there without proper education and knowledge of the Sharia, abusing the institution of Fatwa! In this context - pls refer to the new thread:FATWA TYRANNY !!
Guys guys easy..i think he posted that post for a purpose to cause discomfort at a muslims forum...please ignore idiots like those....who doesnt even know what religion was his fathers...please ignore him...he posted that for a purpose which was to creat a fight at this forum...see he still have not posted his views on it soo far...its abvious!
I admire your sense of toleration. But I think what non-sense uttered by creator of this post about Shia is the out come of decades of hatred created by Shias themselves particularly in Pakistan. I still remember when I was a college student in Karachi, it was a general opinion that one who declare himself as Shia and become a member of "Momin Bhai" community, would rest assure that he would get lucrative job. I wondered at that time what Sunnis had done wrong who were treated as aliens by Momin Bhai's at key positions? I have firm belief that what you sow in past, reap the crop in future whether you like it or not! Permanent damage between the two school of thoughts occurred in Zia’s regime when he created another monster ‘Sipah-e-Shaba besides others to divide the nation. Perhaps the hatred between two sects will grow further till dooms day.
What are you people achieving out of doing this?It is absolutely ridiculous. Who are you to judge any body? Please leave all the judging to God. Dont you think the Islamic nation has enough enemies without you lot starting a war as well?? That is why people manage to break islamic societies, cuz non of you prats stick together, you are always at each others throats.
As for Shia`s not being muslim "CoolDude", are you a scholar in islamic history?? If people believe in Allah but pray in a different way or have different beliefs, so what? Many sunnis do all the Fard, however they are some of the worst people I have come across.
And I will tell you another thing, not until do you have actual facts and figures and sources should you ever open a thread like this cuz look what is happening, you are getting totally cussed and you cant back yourself up, cuz you dont know what you let yourself into......
One last thing, I am a Sunni. I would be be very grateful if someone could direct me to a source, a book, or website which actualy clarifies the differences between Shias and Sunnis.
why don’t you read my comments in this thread and tell me what you found objectionable? I must say I was pleasantly surprised myself at how reasonable I am. Thanks for bringing back the memories my concerned friend
I guess the most simplest question asked would be to a Shia is that if you guys believe in the last prophet and abide by his teachings, then why do u pray differently than how the prophet (pbuh) did? I'm sorry if i offended any shias out there, just that this question always boggles my mind.. but i guess the main question that shoudl be asked before i stated my earlier question is that do u guys believe in the last prophet as Mohammed (pbuh)? Please respond back..
Non of shias and sunnis r wrong. The very best of scholars have had lots of debates over the years. All the literate sunni aalims and people go to shia majalis and mosque and all real shias go to sunni mosque for prayers.
Sunnis r closest things to shias and they r like brothers. I dont know what this all shia/sunni fuss is all about......
Its just some illetrate ppl and ploiticians who are creating this fight amongst muslims.....

the followers of ahl al bayt, also known as Shi’as, believe in the finality of prophethood as testified to in the Quran, vide 33:40 and the traditions through them
as to the nature of the salat, the underlying questions needs to be understood in the light of how the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] prayed differently. if you look up any fiq’h book, and compare the sala of the four sunni schools, they all differ, in the many facets of the prayers, from the recitation to the external aspects of the mode of performance.
hope that this will answer your questions. please consult http://www.al-islam.org/index for an exposition of the faith as understood by the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] and his progeny,
