I’ve heard from many anothers of this popular stereotype of Pakistanis having a stuck up persona, or shall I be nice enuff and call it being ‘reserved’?
How much of this applies to the forums? Is it all about looking pretty and waiting for attention to be forced your way?I’ve noticed some ppl on here are extremely ignorant, and errr ‘snotty’ so to speak. Is this due to having interaction issues with new ppl or maybe does this stem from a bad upbringing? Deprivation of seeing new faces? Over protective parents really aren’t benefiting children by not letting them falling over and getting back up on their own a few times a day. Are we finding it hard to take risks or face danger? Or is prevention really better than cure? How much of this applies to general day to day ramblings or bumping into new ppl? Is that the plausable excuse for our statistical evidence of UK pakistanis being the most uneducated and government funding scammers? Why do we settle for it instead of rising ourselves and pushing our potentials? Basically what I’m telling you to do is to take your fat heads out of your big fat sh*t stained anal holes and take a look at the world around you, my friends. Isn’t it beautiful?

Well first ur talking about thier looks, about the stuck up=edness, then you delve into how paindu and ****ed up UK pakis are… and u end iwht insulting all of us

hm..i am not pakistani but..isnt what you said a bit rude and insulting..??well..i havent really met a lot of pakistani ppl but those i did were actually really nice and down to earth..so i dont know, maybe it depends on the person really. i dont think you can generalize..

different people have different problems..some have more than others though.as for the u.k pakistanis, american pakis are more mellow than u.k pakis for sure...just go visit east london,u'll know what am talking about, people are not even talkable there,may be its a british thing i dont know.

maybe..its the context, i mean the city or the country that also influences the way people behave. and again it is always up to each individual, and their upbringing as well

Can you elaborate on why anyone cannot generalise? Do you understand the definition of a generalisations? They aren't myth', generalisations always stem from what the majority do/say. I can surely say that you can't tar everyone with the same brush but this is a stereotype on many Pakistaniz and I wanted opinions.

I agree, East londoners are living in the stone ages. Most of them are aggressive and education is the last thing on their minds, Birmingham comes in at a close second.. I think Americans are pretty laid back and come accross as being the less cynical and approachable types.
Even so, generally Pakistanis are known to be the more snobbier types compared to other races/religions/ethnicities and bla di bla. Why do you think that is then?
No1 is really going into much detail here. I should've posted this thread up somewhere else alongside openminded ppl who wouldn't get so defensive and take such a statement personally but rather to understand that the very few remarks I made are exactly the retaliation required of the so called stereotypes. I expected ppl to take such an opportunity to discuss pakistani cultures and ppl, the advatanges and disadvantages.

^ I dunno abt Pakis being snobby... i've heard more that htey're very open and hospitable, that our culture is a very hospitable culture, makes others feel welcome (even if they will be talking **** about them later).. i haven't really heard of Pakis being considered snobby.. backwards and stupid and uneducated paindus yes, but "snobby" no.
