So for these families, is that money really enough to support everything tho? I know it takes a lot of effort to have apply for these kinds of benefits, atleast now a days but how can a mother of 1 or more children have sufficiently enough? People like this are disgusting... But I have yet to see it here, don't know anybody in this case except for that show on TLC, "18 kids and counting" or something like that. That dude has 6 wives or something.
The Duggar family? He only has one wife............

well in sane world its not a trend. I have seen couple of guys who married with 2 and even 3. UK Law doesnt allow polygamy but nikkah is to the rescue. I have observed a few very islamic brother who lustfully talk about marrying a new sister in islam. Most of these crooks dont tell their first wives.
The main reason is pathetic benefit system that is easy on free loaders and tough on real occasional help seekers. Freeloaders know how to abuse the system and most of them dont officially work for generations as they cant have same lifestyle if they work. More kids more benefits, free house and topped up with all other loophole payments.

I have come across some men like that too and they are all intent on marrying more women 'to increase the size of the Ummah' [in my opinion, taking another single brother's right to have his own family' and under the belief that polygamy is a 'Sunnah' because it was practised by the Prophet[SAW] and the Sahabah[ra].
Telling them that monogamy is also a Sunnah isn't really of use since they think polygamy needs 'revival' and some even go to the extreme by saying the polygamy should be the norm among Muslims[LOL].
I understand where they are coming from since most Salafis adhere to the Hanbali school of thought and in that school it is the principle to marry two, three or four unless he can't afford them. But in larger schools of thought like the Shafi'i school of thought it is 'better' to have only one wife.
What is even more pathetic is that some of these men cheat the benefits system to support their extra wives.
What do you think of these people and their belief that polygamy is a Sunnah?
