I'm a Muslim. I myself believe that Allah knows everything that is going to happen, but we still have free will. It's better not to debate this at all because it's a paradox that *our feeble minds can not comprehend. *:)
Aka it's a loophole in religion. The only way to reconcile these opposing views would be if there are a million different ways your life can go and Allah knows them all, and it's up to you to decide which one you take. Kind of like IF statements in programming lol.

I do not agree with this view. If this were true, there would be no basis for judgment. If I commit murder, I did it, not destiny. If it was destiny, then I wouldn't be punished for it on judgment day.
Maybe you misunderstood what I wrote. Everything that is going to happen in the future is written before we were born in the Looh e Mahfuz...meaning that God knows everything what will happen but that doesn't mean that whatever happens (like your example of committing murder) happened BECAUSE it was destiny. Can't blame destiny. It just means that you have been given free will to do good and bad (hence the point of judgement day).
Yes that is true what you said in bold .... and i don't know how this can be explained but I onlyknow that there is an ayat in the Quran that says..* Surah An-Noor ayat 26 "Bad women are for bad men and bad men are for bad women. Good women are for good men and good men are for good women."

If it's written already, it does not mean it's already been decided, it means that Allah already knows the choices and decisions we will make with our own free will. There's a hadith I remember reading which mentioned the Pen as one of the first things Allah created, and then ordered it to write everything that will happen till the Day of Judgment.
Pairs made in heaven or Heavenly Pairs. Two different concepts. :)

It is like you are on the side of road which ends at dead end and deep cliff.
You see a car driving 100 miles and hour, going to the dead end.
You 'predict' this guy WILL fall off the cliff. And he does.
Are you responsible for the accident or the driver?

Yep I think marriages are made in heaven. It happens when it is supposed to and with whom it is supposed to. Sometimes you would not have thought about marrying someone like that in your wildest dreams.

I know about the theory but it is just that, there's no way we could ever prove anything remotely like that exists. It is interesting nonetheless, if we discovered a way to travel across parallel universes that would be awesome. Need to find that Kryptonian box first though.
