I have heard that there are only 2-3 things that are predecided for us like the family you are born to and how many kids u have. However alot of times, i see many matches which are beyond my understanding which makes me think that the one you get married to is also predecided, it happens cuz it has to happen otherwise it doesnt make sense. If you know what i mean :p.
For example; say someone has been looking for their match and they just have this vision that this is someone they r gonna marry and only that but they end up marrying someone total diff and are quite happy with it too. its nt even a case of desperation or anything of that sort.

Everything of our life is predecided since our very inception in the form of Looh-e-Mahfuz (Preserved Tablet) and the only thing that can change one's destiny is Dua.

I do not agree with this view. If this were true, there would be no basis for judgment. If I commit murder, I did it, not destiny. If it was destiny, then I wouldn't be punished for it on judgment day.
Predecided? I don’t think. Yes Allah is all knowing of whatever is going to happen but from what i have read, baring few things like i mentioned above, whatever happens with us is a result of our actions and/or is a test.
It is said that there are good women for good men, and bad women for bad men...but i've always wondered, if pairs are made in heaven, then has Allah already decided who will be good and who will be bad even before they are born?

Is this written in Quran? I have seen good guys getting married to total horrible girls and vice versa. I will be shocked if this is really true.

Maybe you misunderstood what I wrote. Everything that is going to happen in the future is written before we were born in the Looh e Mahfuz...meaning that God knows everything what will happen but that doesn't mean that whatever happens (like your example of committing murder) happened BECAUSE it was destiny. Can't blame destiny. It just means that you have been given free will to do good and bad (hence the point of judgement day).

Yes that is true what you said in bold .... and i don't know how this can be explained but I onlyknow that there is an ayat in the Quran that says..*
Surah An-Noor ayat 26 "Bad women are for bad men and bad men are for bad women. Good women are for good men and good men are for good women."

If it is written already, then it means it's already been decided right? You just changed your words, not the meaning.
I'm a Muslim. I myself believe that Allah knows everything that is going to happen, but we still have free will. It's better not to debate this at all because it's a paradox that *our feeble minds can not comprehend. *:)

If it's written already, it does not mean it's already been decided, it means that Allah already knows the choices and decisions we will make with our own free will. There's a hadith I remember reading which mentioned the Pen as one of the first things Allah created, and then ordered it to write everything that will happen till the Day of Judgment.
